This is just getting sad now.

Doesn't that mostly come down to the fact that it's easier to get something into space/onto another planet than explore super low depths of the ocean due to the extreme pressure? Either way space is more exciting due to the potential of finding life outside our planet, I know we find some crazy interesting shit deep down in the ocean but no matter how spectacular things are down there even a simple organism found outside of earth would be 1000x more interesting just because its an alien lifeform.
