  1. We're doing this again? Should we have just let AMA's die instead? Where did Shinobi go? Did you find out if he was still shredded? What intrigues you about the leadership role? What do you think was the most valuable lesson you learned from all of your clan experiences? In spite of all of the personal issues during your time as DF leader, why did you feel like you had to open Tempest? Has it helped you, or is there still work to do? We've discussed how DF was extremely hard to lead because of the personalities in it, what do you think caused this? Rank them - DF leaders all time, yourself included. Give your best guess if you weren't in the clan scene during their reign, and say why for each.
  2. Yep, was arrested on DUI once. Bad news was I spent a night in jail, could have hurt/killed someone (luckily no accident), and it cost me a lot of money. Good news is Canada won't let me in their country for a bit so I have an excuse to not go when my friends want to road trip up north.
  3. 🤡 Happy Sweet 16 DF. Greatest clan of all time. @Scotticon - step into my office.
  4. There's so many... maybe my favorite was the DF vs. DI miniwar in 2006. I just remember how hyped everyone was about it since we were ranked like 8 at the time. Close second/third would be getting #1 for the first time in 2007, and beating Corr for the first time in 2006. Idk my time in DF was just a wild ride with a lot of cool moments.
  5. Yeah probably 3 nights a week. A couple of nights during the week I'll have a beer after dinner, then one night on the weekend I'll have 2-3.
  6. For everyone: - Is there anything that you learned from your previous clan experiences that helped you make TR successful? - What specific moment in TR's days stand out the most to you? Good or bad. TR was created right as I was retiring, so I never got to experience any fights against them or anything, but every time I'd pop in to check on DF I'd hear about TR. Sounds like a clan that hit the ground running, made a strong impact, and had members that loved it there, so congrats on the success of it.
  7. Just one? Nah. The Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim) The Witcher II & III Mount & Blade Bannerlord and Warband Cyberpunk 2077 (if you can get over the terrible release, and the fact that it didn't raise the bar as much as they boasted it would for 10 fucking years, it is still a fantastic game) Fallout games (although admittedly could have and should have been better) GTA games starting from III Mass Effect Breath of the Wild Farcry 4 (then they started beating us over the head with the copy-pasted formula) Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Big fan of open world RPGs if anyone has any suggestions, since it is very hard to find good ones.

I'm over here partial flexing saying we could keep up with them in fights for a bit, and you post a link to a day where they wiped us out in 10 minutes. God dammit lmao.
  9. I think it depends on the stage of life. Clan beginnings I think rely more heavily on leadership because there needs to be some sort of establishment of vision, goals, rules, and mentality that contributes to the frame of the community. Then as those things (assuming they have some success) become more cultural, the shift to maintaining that culture through the community should become the main focal point. Leadership is still very important at any stage because of those first few reasons I listed, but I think if the member base is generally on the same page then the clan will last through periods of mediocre leadership, where as if the member base falls apart that might be much more difficult to overcome. Plus your future leaders are ultimately plucked out of those communities.

DS was a solid clan that I respected a lot; it was fun to fight them every once in awhile and learn about what we needed to improve on from it. I had some good conversations with some of their officials back then, and they were always friendly. I'm not a fan of the "close at the top" mentality, as I personally think it is significantly more impressive to build a clan that spans generations and can continue to be highly competitive, but obviously my clan benefited from it heavily jumping from like rank 4 or 5 to the top spot. Some of their members joined and didn't click well with DF, but a bunch of them joined and really added good value to our clan, so I am definitely thankful for that. I also sort of agree with some of these old DI members on their large numbers being the main reason for their strength. From like August 06 and on when we fought them I felt like we really gave them a run for their money, but their consistent numbers that spanned multiple time zones ultimately was too hard to overcome. Regardless that was the path to dominance at the time and they mastered it, so credit to them. Either way DS was a solid clan that made a big impact on the clan world. We have some ex-DS guys in our discord and whenever DS gets brought up they speak fondly of it, and really that's all that you want out of a clan.
  11. I haven't, but I definitely would. I've talked with Dark Knighty, Dalejamesw and Lego about possible meetups in the future.

Actually, I'm curious so I'll ask some questions. If I missed these being asked earlier please ignore my dumbassery and tell me to look at previous posts. - What do you feel is DF's biggest strength? And where do you think DF needs improvement? - DF is approaching its Sweet 16th birthday. Can you give me 3-5 longstanding characteristics of the clan that has pushed it to keep going for this long? - Is there anyone in current DF, can be a member or official, who you feel is underrated and deserves a shoutout? - Over the last decade what would you say was DF's highest point and lowest point? - I saw you talk about Rene in a previous post. If I were leading DF and approached you asking for your input on Rene as my potential replacement as leader, would you suggest him? Where do you think Rene ranks all time as an official in DF? Curious because I have gotten similar vibes from him. - How do you feel you have done as an official in DF? Are you more proud of what you have accomplished, or more self-critical?

I don't have any questions, and I'm not going to get into what caused you to make the decision to do this, but I just want to say that I've always been impressed with you and appreciate the role you've played in DF. The few times I have talked with you it's been a very level-headed conversation and respectable one, so thanks for that.

+1. Homedawg's rise in DF was one of the coolest things I got to witness there and I'm proud of him for it, so I just wanted to quote for emphasis. Even if he can be a thorn in my ass to this day like he was just yesterday.

What did you find to be the most difficult part of leading DF? And what was your proudest moment, whether it was personal or from the group? Also love ya man and I'm proud of the job you did as leader. I waited to retire until you felt you were ready to take the reins because I knew it had to be you to be DF's next leader. You didn't disappoint, and it shows from how all of those old school DF members respect you.
  17. Hey man was good talking to you today, even if it was brief as I was getting my ass handed to me at work. Pretty good AMA, can't believe all of the shit you remember... makes my AMA look like late stage alzheimer's.
  18. Don’t forget you bud, one of the best officials that clan has ever had. You made an impact too. Good to see you though man. There are a bunch of old school people who I know would love to talk to you, so if you wanna reach out to them let me know.
