  1. I enjoyed most of the events. There were none back then that I didn't really enjoy because it always felt great to go ham with the crew. When I came back in 2016 those fights were not fun. Purple was better. Before team 8, we wore team 1. I think this is a ss of it. I might have went to VR because of Cera. VR and DF were alike because we always liked to have a good time, but DF was more competitive and had less gaffes. He told me DF may muster up a fight with Tempest if we did this. DI - Brian DS - Franzk Corr - D2master TT - D0nts VR - Cera He was actually never under the influence back then, he just had high energy. It's surprising. Bishinmo leaking the private zybez forums to the public. And the screenshot was from me. I loved working with Omniusha, Lil2, Revnak, Weasel265 and more.
  2. I prefer f2p because there's more reliance on the clan as a unit then individuals. P2p was a bit less organized then so it was reliant upon the individual to make the right moves around his friends within his vicinity. F2p is about everyone being on the same page at the same time, and the collaboration that was required, is respectable. P2p has evolved and become may more organized then it was back then, but I like putting on that rune. I look back and regret not leveling up earlier and potentially could have gotten closer to warlord sooner than I did. My time as warlord-head warlord was very short compared to DF's life, so I would have liked to lead DF at that time. Also wish I established more good relationships with other clans. It goes a long way when they're able to collaborate. We used to have to deal with NI and the ability to AC with other clans was great. We were so competitive though that it blind sided us and sometimes worked against us. I remember fights when having to lead with 30 or so snipers on me only to return in a minute and do it all over again. I think they should do what they like to do and let time take its course. No, I prefer f2p all the way. When we started letting immature 16 year old millennials run the show. Probably f'd things up considerably.
  3. I think I was mad because I was one of the older players that that were being dropped during an inactive sweep. It bothered me for a while but I only lasted as an applicant for 2 weeks or so before giving that up. Only for your mom. From what I remember he was quiet and a behind the scenes type of guy. He didn't use a mic which I thought was different for DF. I will remember him a leader who did well with his time as leader just by maintaining the status quo.
  4. Hey there pal. When the wild was removed, we were ready to take on the next medium that would harbor fights. Of course, the idea of that become castle wars was both humorous and terrifying. I remember teleporting to GDZ and seeing other clans in the wild and couldn't do anything. But I have to give it to the runescape community on zybez, we banded together and said we have to get pvp back. I remember posts on rs forums, petitions, because of a complete uproot of our community. When we got BH, nobody was happy but there was no other choice. So we carried on and still found a way to compete. Christy(katsumae), Kim(cutekiyaa), april(23kiler23), Lubishka, and more but that was like 2007. Not really much of one.
  5. I wasn't really active during the crashwars. I thought they were not good for clans and should have never steered in that direction. A dream lineup would probably be Peterh, Lil2, Merked, True, and sprinkle a lil david @King_Obina good to see you. I remember us talking about programming and what not as I was trying to get my food in the door with work. I am doing very well, I work in the Infosec field and enjoy it a ton. It is quite rewarding as well. I hope all is well with you. Feel free to ping me on discord anytime to catch up. I thought Dark Blade 75 was an excellent addition from DS. He was mature, had certain intangibles, and was respected. Unfortunately, his stint in DF did not last as it appeared DS was what he really worked hard for. Probably the current one. If its @true, it's because he edates while leading. Stormy daniels is bound to come out and tell all. Brian and kidefence would have probably been at the top although I doubt they'd ever work together. I would have wanted Franzk as some sort of council and also to mold Omniusha. Back then, I'm not sure if any. I would have preferred DF stayed out of crash wars but the community was trending in that direction. At the time I was in Divine Forces, it was try very hard to win, but not at all costs. Back then I remember in participating in fights that were usually 2-4 hours. I may have participated in one 12 hour fight but I don't remember managing it. Being Head Warlord, people may have come up to me sparingly and talk about calling off a fight. Back then I think we made appropriate decisions in terms of not having them last very long. Usually our motto was, 'we lost the fight today, let's win the war tomorrow.' Yes, in 2007 we did try p2p, and did have p2p leaders. I think it fell flat because we acceled in f2p due to our organization and experience. 2007 had big p2p events but we were not experienced. On a side note, I remember Pking with Aggression at Mage Bank and DF getting shit for it because I was pking with a no honor clan. DS - KiDefense TT - Bishinmo, D0nts RSD - F1r3o VR - Cera Corr - LH, D2 This is what I recall. If I saw some memberlists I'd probably point out a few more. Clan Wars Premier League Champions, lol. In reality, just the ability to galvanize 100 people enough to have them give their all. Then being able to execute. Meh, I thought my role was being able to push people beyond their limits. When I first joined DF, I had no writing skills. As I watch people like Lego, I learned from his way of writing. This would result in me writing very long pre-fight topics that I thought got to people. I remember people reading those topics and getting amped up going into a fight. I wish @true could find a way to dig those up. I think we had a good culture in the clan world. We were also the new kids on the block that were pretty cool. We had US, GMT, and aussie members who were dedicated. At that time, DF was not into the trolling scene and we wore our emotions on our sleeves. I think people liked that.
  6. There is an exchange between @Brian and I on DI forums that, looking back, I found hilarious. He is currently in possession of the screenshot.
  7. What's up Kiwi. Hope all is well with you. I meant Murked.. or whatever his name was lol I don't recall an austin P. If I came back to clanning I would not join DF and would probably join Tempest. Although, I'm not really in the position to invest that amount of time. My future is important to me and I will continue to move forward in that direction. I would love to maintain all the friendships I've created throughout my time in this community. Tempest is unique and special because, to me, it is a place where all the people I used to play with are. And these are people that I used to get amped to beat lol. To be able to chat on these forums, and poke LH44 once in a while, is nice. For me it was 2008. Others have told me sometime between 2011-2015 had a moment of success.
  8. Yea, it was a good rival. 1. They're a product of their environment. 2. Probably Lil2. 3. Yes. It was really good, and a lot of fun. 4. Probably level up sooner and not stay 110 forever. Might have been able to lead sooner. Allowing Chirinako to manage forums. I think DF now has a lot of great members. Rene, IMK, and my boy Jelle really made DF a lot of fun for me when I returned. Unfortunately a couple members, lead by their current leader, emanate a pernicious vibe within the clan. Bunty and I were actually approached because they were upset this thread has been created. Only people with bad intentions would want to stop a good time. Lil2, Flinstoneman, PeterH, Murdock. These guys were reliable. I had pulled Lil2 out of retirement one time because I felt I 'needed him' to prevail.
  9. Good fight I thought EH were close but didn't have the spunk. There motto was 'honor' above all. It's a hard tossup between Lil2 and Peterh Most old school gamers come back for the community. I think the communities lack new, original, blood that's caused the status quo to become stale. I think part of this is because new gamers have the mindset that they can change their name online and become a new person therefore what's done in the past can be wiped. That may be why older people who used to be apart of these communities maintain their names and everything associated with it. Credibility had value. Back then, being someone like head warlord, you kind of have the authority of a leader when it comes to fighting. And when that is done 5+ days a week then those responsibilities become, maintaining 'honor'(lol). But also giving your all every time. I'm not sure. I don't think DF could have gotten much better. But I could have gone the VR route and ended up like La Hire. Thankfully things ended gracefully. That's a good one. I didn't like it. I think clan fights have been stripped down to 'efficiency' instead of fun. Of course these fights are fun but relatively speaking, not so much. Sniping was also a thing back then but there was still more organization as large parts of the wild were used. It's not a fun feeling, but you get over it. I think it was corruption. Yes the fights with RSD, TT, VR, were really fun but Corr was at a time when DF were underdogs. We would lose and come back for more, and that's also how TT fights were too until we would win. But with corr, they wanted to kill us off when we were mid sized. The clan took that personally. I think a corr vs df full out is out there. More recorded fights against would also be nice to see.
  10. Got some skills See above I used to put you to sleep after every run in pal. He's not bad. I don't like how he likes to lead while he's edating. In terms of favorite callers, really you and true stand out. I think true might not have that energy anymore. There have been plenty. I think DF might have been the first clan to beat DI in a miniwar. Back then, it was a big thing to beat DI because DI were the only clan that could beat DS. And you weren't beating DS. Also, back then we had pk run ins, mini wars and wars. Wars were usually the week or multi week prep while mini wars weren't. Beating TRWF in a full out war (might have been part of a tourney) and slumping them. Intimidating RSD with max ops to the point where they didn't come into BH after we both week prepped. I think they went to a p2p server with f2p gear and got stomped by Rot. Omniusha, Lil2, Pokerman, Danc2006, Zedest, Lego, Christina(Katsumae), and more I'm probably forgetting. Na He was a good pk leader and i think a high level at a time when only DI and DS were majority 124+ Actually it didn't. I didn't mind. Danc was my man. He had a thing for TT and would somehow be able to get spies on their forums. We would check the back end of forums for passwords and find the people who reused passwords. Was great. Lil2 was my wingman who would go to battle every fight with me. He was reliable.
  11. Someone link me to their rsc post.
  12. Emanpop was a pretty bad official. He had low energy. As a fall in leader he came off like a guy who would prick his finger every day except he wasn't diabetic.
  13. Legend. Don't feel too special, True did this to all of us.
  14. Posting for the nostalgia. TT was one of the best rivals DF ever had. Plus, these have been collecting dust for 12 years, no better time to show them then around the TT camp fire.
  15. @Bishinmo @d0nts, I always knew when the two of you and kebab were on the field, it was always going to be a real challenge. What members from DF were you not looking forward to seeing?
  16. @Bishinmo despite history, seems like DF wore you guys down over time, causing some serious stress on your leading team. If you chose to add new pk leaders to your rotation instead of furloughing your best, who would you have nominated to lead TT in fights?
  17. Never forget ? @d0nts much respect. @Bishinmo I didn't know those scars ran so deep. The best people are the ones who never change.
  18. Runescape Name Homedawg90 Preferred Name Homedawg or Alex Discord ID ItalianStallion#9224 Current Clan Not Applicable Previous Clan History Divine Forces : 2005 - 2012; A couple months here and there afterwards Who do you know in Tempest? True 2k8, GL195, probably others Are you interested in joining? Not sure. I would say this is the closest to having an interest in a couple years. Brief Introduction I joined DF in 2005 under Death240. I became Head Warlord in 2007 and had so much fun while I was there. Leading DF into battle against many of the people in this clan, dare I say it was glorious. Not only did the constant wars, competitive challenges against DI, DS, CORR, Titans, and RSD leave a roll of memories that have turned to legend, but to have such a collaborative and collective effort with such a large group of people at that time, it was like playing in the Friday night varsity football games. Looking back, it was a lot of fun playing Runescape with everyone. Whether on the same side or looking across the field, it couldn't have happened without everyone involved. If I pursue Tempest, I look forward to making new friends while walking down memory lane, laughing at old memories. By the way, @Bishinmo put out some introduction like "You all know who I am, what I have done and what I'm capable of". This is what I remember,
