cool to see you around - can you disclose how much $ you made from Zybez (either thru ads or sale?) or is there still some sort of NDA involved etc?
Thanks for doing an AMA!

Quiz is kinda ass but I get lack of nuance in this type of stuff - take it for what it is.
Got ambivalent right, which is what I would suspect most Americans would get despite what Twitter tells you

Nicest?
I'll go best: NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, San Diego - no particular order.

It'd be dumb to say it hasn't affected me, I mean prices have gone up. So. But I don't really think about it. Still do / buy the same shit I always do
Most noticeable increase for me has definitely been at the grocery store. Still don't have to cut back and I buy what I want, but it is noticeably different

I think what makes this more embarrassing is that the current clanning climate has all but accepted low amounts of activity be it forums, in-game, etc. due to the current state of RS. If you check ROT forums, DF's, and VR's they still have events posted on the front page of their clan fights section from over a month ago. What would once be unheard of is now accepted, yet they still felt the need to move an essentially non-existing needle.

We also had about that in a war (no returning) vs DI in September 2006. I was on a cruise in the Bahamas so I learned about what happened a week later when I came home. We still considered DI to be out of our league at that time and probably came in expecting to lose so the hype was extreme. It's on this page under "Damage Inc. War": https://runescapeclans.fandom.com/wiki/Clan:Corruption .
good to see you fine sir

A peaceful and nice Christmas dinner, that's all I want.
think this is what most adults want this time of year. I don't really care for people to spend money on me as I get older, feels weird.

a lot of shit involves heights which i'm pretty thoroughly scared of, idk how extreme it is but i've always kinda wanted to go diving, i guess the most extreme way of doing that would be diving to observe/interact with sharks. though i know there are quite a few divers who can do that safely, sharks and the deep sea are pretty neat
I won't pretend to be some crazy dive person, but I have free dived in the ocean to ~20ish feet where the ocean floor was hundreds of feet deep. If you are a confident swimmer start there before you go full oxygen tank type shit

It's a stretch.
Despite the hardships OSRS faced in its earlier days, after the dust settled the game was genuinely amazing when it came to togetherness and community. People knew the score. EoC had come through and forced us to migrate to OSRS as a last ditch effort to have something close to what the game was before the change. The community itself was small after the first 6 months, as was the Jmod team working on the game.
And for these reasons everyone was a lot more chill. Even clans took a step back when it came to the drama and the hate chat compared to the levels of toxicity we were starting to reach pre-eoc.
Then in 2015 the grand exchange and f2p came out. OSRS popularity and member base went on the rise. We eventually ended up on the same path we were towards the end of pre-eoc and honestly at this point, we're well beyond it. The OSRS community is disgustingly toxic at this point, botting/cheating tech has exceeded anything that was developed during RS2, the Jagex team behind OSRS is not only once again out of touch with the community but they also tend to do as they please now.
None of this is a truly logical reason for a reset but if a reset did happen, I'd assume that once the dust settles a lot of these issues would go away due to the smaller community and the smaller team of Jmods that'd be manning the project. This is all wishful thinking though. There's no guarantee that things would turn out this way.
Understand where you're coming from. This logic is the same across all games. It's why people always rush to play the newest thing because that incubation period where things are fresh, new, and people are on the same playing field is too much fun. A recent example of this is Amazon's New World. Seems really stupid, IMO, to throw away a players current progress for the sake of nostalgia.

Was that the same summer ?
Yes. We had a four hour capped fight against TT and they were big mad that we pulled so much. They started with 70-80 I think. This was the beginning of that summer where we weren't really sure what we had. We had a large member base but I don't think even we thought we'd pull 100+ on a whim. We were doing that to no/short prep events that summer.

I don't play but are there literally any positives to resetting the game?

We (corruption) started with about 130 and maxed out at 150 or something vs EOS once. Ended them in about 90 mins
We also did this against TT (maxed out at ~155 I think, but definitely over 150).
