Da Bazz 715 Posted July 16, 2021 Share Posted July 16, 2021 They are technically illegal in the Netherlands but a few brands have been accepted into the 'moped' category so they can follow those rules. A friend of mine had one that I drove a couple of times. I find them a little dangerous but I'm inexperienced. If you are able to go 90km/h you should definitely wear at least a helmet imo. I think they are a good alternative in cities with good bike infrastructure. I wouldn't want to drive these in places where cars dominate the road and where there's next to 0 bike infrastructure like in the USA... I'm looking to buy an e-bike within a year or 2 after I have moved just outside of the city.
