How did you get your first rune set?

Sometime in 2003, fly fished & cooked at Barb village and sold the fish to PKers north of Varrock.

Also killed the higher-lvl zammy monks for their guaranteed steel mace drops and sold them to Fala mace shop.

Bought the rune set straight from Champ's guild and Oziach.

Someone died from poison doing kq and I looted his obby cape which was 350k at the time. Ran off with it, bought rune upgrading from my ham robes. Later felt bad so I added him and gave it back lol

Um excuse me but that was me sir!  I did this for months at VEast bank.... I was also scammed because I didn't have p2p and didn't realize it turned into double price on members worlds.  So I'd sell bulk to someone who over paid on the f2p price but still made a killing once he logged into members.

Rune Essence mining lasted me till my first rune sword @ 20k from the same varrock east bank I slaved out of

Took immediate revenge on the black knights hustling my daily PvE voyages, met a dude who promised me a month of membership in pm's at that castle, & that was that. 

 

Take two came in swinging all the way to farming Rune Meds outta lesser demons in Karamja, on top of occasionally swiping stacks of random arrows.

Another idea for a topic is remembering when you first got membership just staring across the gates of Taverly thinking about the vast new conquests.

First Mith set was from killing chickens and selling the feathers,

first addy set was from killing hill giants

first rune set from mining coal and selling it i believe.

I believe for the longest time I didnt have any then was gifted some from a friend. Or at least a partial set. I remember for the longest time I didn't have the quest for the plate body
