  1. I was in both groups an the majority of the exiles are still around playing other games and they are back on EOS TS. I don't really think there was a long term plan for old-school, by that point alot i was certainly getting tired of all the bullshit that was associated with Runescape and i think others were too. I think we just tried to carry on like usual which half - worked. Ben would beat me in a fight He's definitely in the top 100 leaders of all time. Probably a combination of Oli's/Eli's and other officials efforts along with our core membership giving us a strong base to work with which helped us build up again. I honestly don't really remember what we did or happened on OSRS as things were different for me at that time in my life I think doing what we did to Solace was pretty fun, i think the idea of this "new elite clan" was complete arse and we wanted to destroy that image that people had created around them. It wasn't easy but it was fun When it came to ddosing, outside of EOS it was done in retaliation to ROT and their allies after they destroyed our forums and took down Teamspeak after Teamspeak just because we had the audacity to beat them repeatedly in f2p. Inside of EOS we managed to trick on guy into ddosing himself for like 30 mins which was hilarious. I regret that ddosing became part of the clan world but if we hadn't done it at all i don't think it would have changed much in the end. Doxing however was something we did which i regret alot. There was one instance with Corruption where they constantly irl flamed me based on personal info they obtained by someone leaking info about me (so they didn't dox me). I guess this didn't sit well with alot of people in EOS, and we had one guy who knew how to dox people and he was scary good at it, and he turned up a spreadsheet with 70 corruption members on it, with their emails, social medias and whatever other info. We showed it to Corr, told them to cut out the irl flaming an they agreed and we never used any of what we got. Still fucked up that we did it though, and it wasn't right. Transitioning from RS to Albion we did lose some people along the way, some guys just didn't want to start a new game and others wanted to stick with RS which i completely understand. Aside from that we learned Albion very quickly and became prominent during the beta tests that were held before official launch. After launch is another story, but we're back atm now and doing our thing. I don't know if any one person came up with it, but it wasn't mindless. We used it to buy time so returners could regroup somewhere else away from snipers and then we would meet up with them and have a stronger pile. But plenty of other clans did what we did, returned way longer than they should have done, refusing to call it off out of pride or w/e. We just got stuck with the reputation for it i guess. Hey man, i remember you, hope your doin well. I don't know really, i suppose things would have probably gone the same way as they did. EOC then OSRS being released just delayed the natural progression of the clan world by a year or so, because my only memories of OSRS were crash wars, ddosing and bullshit. We have alot now, in many ways we've had to rebuild the community as older members move on and new people come in, then you find yourself with a whole bunch of people you don't know that well. It has an affect because sometimes you look around and think "who the fuck are all these people" but after you spend time fighting together and going out on pvp trips together you start to get along. Activity can be insane. There were times recently we were massing four times a day and fighting, every single day. I was lucky to make one of those every other day because im old and fuckin useless now.
  2. 1. I completely agree with the statement on how wildly inconsistent we were. 2. I think your analysis was part it, however i guess in some of my answers in this topic i didn't highlight just how activity driven we were. We wanted to fight other clans on Runescape, every day if possible. No one wanted to fishing trawler or do group agility events. When we were able to get fights it gave us momentum which made us stronger, however as every other clan leader reading this knows when you get strong no-one wants to do a planned fight with you. So we get less fights, activity goes down and members go inactive or leave, so we ended up losing that strength and slumping. In some cases we started crashing clans just to get the activity we needed as we felt if they weren't going to willingly fight us, we'd force them to. 3. I don't think it bothered us in an overall sense. It definitely sucked when things were on their way downhill but i guess we always knew things would get better again. I think to try and stabilise the variance would have meant trying to become more like RSD or DF, a clan which had members more invested in Runescape. But that would mean changing who we were and not staying true to ourselves. Besides, if people wanted the RSD or DF experience, they'd have gone to those clans an not a cheap imitation like we would have been.
  3. I can't really single people out as i feel any EOS member who showed up and put the effort in was a key part of our success and there's just too many to mention from over the years. Probably Runescape, mainly because of the nostalgia component to it. Fights generally end quicker on Albion than on OSRS, if you play it right you can wipe out the other guild or alliance in a matter of seconds. I posted a clip a few pages back showing an example of this and of how calling usually happens Found out a couple of months ago he was trying to get involved in local politics in Australia. Found it weird that when he had a rage quit moment an leaked aload of pictures from EOS forums he had edited them so it would look like i was saying dumb things. Didn't realise he disliked me that much
  4. Man i completely forgot we talked, it's been so long now. I'm glad going to school worked out for you an got a better job. I'm studying at uni myself at the moment and hanging round these forums on a massive nostalgia trip
  5. In retrospect i did enjoy fighting against Corruption, and winning or losing meant more than most other clans. You guys were just as good as anyone else, i mean it's clear how strong so many clans were/are , VR and others are still alive, Corruption members are in contact and pulled like 60 people to their Reunion pk, RSD have their own community discord, so many old RS players have come back to play RS in Tempest or just to be around the community because Runescape clans were unique unlike anything else. Im not sure who that is, was he a DF member? I didn't see what ultimately became of PH and how strong you got, but you guys were definitely progressing from a cc team into a more organised clan and were growing in strength. As you can guess from the topic, people just chose to remember the times we ran some laps to outlast in a couple fights so i sympathise with you guys on being remembered just for one thing
  6. He isn't with EOS anymore, but he's playing Albion along with Starman050. Aside from fights iv'e mentioned a pretty big one i remember was fighting Corruption on a prep during the BH crater era, and we pulled 70 people which was a huge pull for us at the time, the fight went 8 hours and we won which was a big deal for us as we always had a special place in our hearts for Corr. I fell asleep after 5 hours like a useless twat One time we had to remove a member who recently joined because he had genuine mental issues, like he was simple or mentally retarded im not sure the correct term. Idk how else to put it really but it was very awkward as he was nice in his own way but it was clear it was just not gonna work out. I never really got a chance to see him lead and idk if he ever led a clan in OSRS past when we quit.
  7. Prannoy doesn't get as much credit as he should for his calling when he was leader, and honestly there were lots of good callers in EOS, and other officials who never called would also step up and speak when all our leaders died quickly. So i guess the top 5 would be Prannoy Ell01 Goldenking38 Tamatoman0 Chong420 I know for sure i didn't, and i dont really remember any one else doing it. Had it happen to me though Stepping down when i did in 2008 due to the removal of the wilderness, i should have stuck with it even if it was shit. I think i let the other leaders/officials down when i did that. I was in Phobia and then Adelais for a few months before joining EOS, while in Adelais they were looking for potential allies and approached EOS with the idea and EOS at the time liked it. Thats how i started pking with EOS and eventually found my way there after leaving Adelais. So we were always on good terms with each other.
  8. 3 is too low of a number because there were alot of good ones, but it'd probably be Ell01/Allstar049 and Prannoy He was abit weird tbh, not sure if its true but i heard he used to watch Runescape fight videos in high school while hiding in the toilets or something. And he also wrote EOS on his arse an took a picture of it. I'd like to think he's bit more normal now Wow that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said about me At the moment im studying at University and am planning on becoming a teacher, but there's alot of IRL shit in the way at the moment and even before this Covid thing happened. I also do some fiction writing but its nothing substantial yet. With the capes it was more a tactical thing to begin with, but then we got a load of grief over it from people we fought and we embraced the whole thing. When Jagex released their weird clan system thing with custom capes that you could put logos and stuff on, i remember fighting someone (maybe Corruption), and we changed our capes to the same colour as theirs. They changed shortly after, so my job that fight was to sit at spider hill and watch returners to see what they'd switch their capes to. We both changed back and forth about 12 times before they gave up.
  9. Basically i checked out the game after Ben while it was in Alpha, found myself enjoying playing solo running around like a noob doing the equivalent of shearing sheep in lumbridge and killing goblins. Last day of the Alpha, Ben came on to join me after i told him how good it was and me and him hunted down an killed some guy from a big Russian guild for his loot. That was the moment we decided to give it a go in the upcoming Beta test as a clan. We were able to transition because EOS had a core community that had stuck through for years at this point, and Runescape was just another game that wasn't giving us what we wanted. The biggest difference between the Albion vs Runescape clan scene is probably the scale of it. There are hundreds of guilds (clans) with dozens of alliances with thousands of people in them, so it lacks the intimacy that the RS clan world had where it was smaller and more personal. Because of this it also lacks the level of forum-fighting and shit talking that went on in Runescape, which is something i sort of miss. Not really the same feeling when you beat down an alliance of 300 people filled with guilds you don't recognise , it lacks the rivalry aspect and the ups and downs that came with it. Had someone in EOS ddos'd for 10 seconds as a joke, or irl flaming people in other clans over stuff that went too far. The ddos was funny though He was a really solid influence who everyone respected and was a vital part of the leadership team when he was around. I respected him because he wouldn't let other clans bully us and would make sure we got back at them when we could
  10. Mediocre I always found it frustrating dealing with RSD officials, as they were happy to fight us anytime they knew they could outpull us by 20 people but as soon as things evened up getting a planned fight out of them was impossible. I suppose they had their own reasons for it. Same as anyone i suppose, the desire to win regardless of the strength of who we were fighting. Was important to lead by example so EOS members would inherit that desire also. Probably Solace. They were a decent clan like anyone else but for some reason they had a reputation of being really well organised and i just didn't see that.
  11. That hes from down south an so massively inbred It's not really a least favourite thing but with Ben he only had 1 setting which was 100% full on fuck everyone, which was a huge part of our success but in rare situations it caused minor problems that could have been handled differently, but that's only in hindsight as at the time i backed his decisions 100% Never. I went to fight for other clans occasionally like DF and VR, but they were just different Runescape clans while EOS was something more than just RS, where we could hang out an play other shit and have fun You The Zybez mods, think its been established now they would leak people's ip's to ddos. I got -1's all the time for legit reasons but sometimes i got them "just because". I e-dated her because i drank too much and made bad choices. Although you knew that already you cheeky cunt Best callers in EOS were Oli and Eli but also Prannoy, who in his day was one of the best there was. I didn't really hear many from rival clans so i don't really know Worst callers - probably Scooby Poons who called once against TT which was somthing along the lines of "get that guy over there". Rival clans again never heard any of them call much so can't say. I don't remember who started the Irl flaming but for me personally i regret that it happened. Mainly because of what was being said and about who. Some things are just too far and we crossed that line and like i said its one of the things i regret about my time in RUnescape Sure there were loads of people i liked, You and dave from Corr, i talked to loads of people in DF like Death240 and Geezerpunk and Veseble, Evizu, Viper and Ando from VR, i talked to 1 or 2 people from EH. Iv met up with Dundaine from TT irl. There were loads of individuals i personally got on with from different clans, for the most part until things went too far it was more talking shit about the clan as a whole, not the people in them. I don't really remember which fight that was, there have been so many over the years and people tend to remember the wins and not the losses unless they particularly stuck out for 1 reason or another. I can pretty much say for sure that morale wouldn't have been too bad because if Pran would have been involved he'd have said fuck it, got viper on TS an then started playing some online shooter like CS or Crossfire with 20 other EOS
  12. DF were a unique clan that didn't fit into the honour (EH/RSD) or no honour (ROT/VR) category of clans. Looking back over the years despite the slumps they generally had strong consistency and were competitive if not for #1 rank then always within the top 5. Had some really good people i remember talking to and i got along with well. Was ruined when True 2k8 joined Anything is fun when you're having a laugh with your friends while doing it. Na, that came from Corruption irl flaming a health condition iv got, and they went round telling everyone i was a vampire. Truth is i probably deserved the irl flaming as i was a cunt to lots of people in lots of clans at the time Some i made, some were made by a guy called Mctubbyt off that Fiverr website. They seemed very succesful as people always seem to ask about them
  13. She was the long term High Council i mentioned in a previous post, it was a pretty snake move she pulled to be honest as we had just had an official meeting the night before and she hadn't said anything just played it normal, i went to sleep an she had deleted my forum account. Honestly if she wanted to do something she should have made her own clan with the people who wanted their own special leadership ranks instead of trying to "steal" EOS I never dealt with any of the spies so i can't help you there sorry I feel like both portrayals are probably accurate, we wanted to do what we wanted and have fun doing it. Some people saw us as funny and lighthearted and others saw us as bunch of scumbags. The real EOS was just a bunch of pretty stupid guys having as much fun as we could 100% Alcohol fueled but i got some spy info out of it i suppose
  14. DF - They were actually my other choice than EOS because i had friends there (Gamersicon/Gunnerguy55) but Lego didn't let me pk with them and EOS did so i went to EOS. ROT - They were good back before 2010. The version with Plazahitman an XX hotshot where pretty decent from my point of view DI - Never really had much interaction with them because when EOS became strong DI was more p2p focused and so as i recall we fought them in f2p once before they closed in 2010(?). I never thought bad of them though and when i was a noob at level 90 about 45 years ago i kinda wished i was part of it. Dfall - I honestly don't really remember much about them, by the time they came around in RS i was so done with the game i didn't care. No offence to them or Ronin i'm sure they were great clans in their own right Ronin - See above AF - We were pretty close with them an shared some members, i went to a couple p2p fights an remembered i was terrible at p2p but they were some good guys an knew how to fight in p2p
  15. At the time Oli was busy with IRL obligations so for a month or so i was leading by myself, we were in a bit of a slump because of losing him and had dropped off from competing with the top clans. I think TT was fighting Solace when one of our (retarded) warlords Tamatoman0 gathered up 5-10 men to go kill Solace at the fight. I was about to tell him to fuck off and stop and for some reason i kinda just changed my mind and said fuck it, so i let it happen an told everyone to go up there non-mand. Sent the text to Oli that id started a crash war an he loved it. As for zq50 no clue, some people just want change of pace and maybe that's what it was for him As Oli said we would have to do it to wait for our larger NA base to come online and so we could fight properly. Clans generally wouldn't fight us later on when those people were already there so we had not much choice if we wanted a fight, so we made it work because it had to. Im not sure about the summer of 2011 situation my memory is shit on this but it may have had to do with us getting involved with fighting ROT. The thing with EOS and CWA is complicated. When the Wilderness removed we had been improving for months, building up from a smaller clan outside the top 10 and taking steps to start competing with VR and Corr, and we had just had several decent wins against Corruption and momentum was with us and the mood was great. CWA was like crashing at 120 mph into a wall of shit, so many of our fights came about because we just went out and found other clans on the spur of the moment. Now, it was no returning with everything having to be pre-planned in advance. Everybody in the leadership hated it, myself i straight demoted myself to retired to go play WoW because of how demoralised it made me. This attitude trickled down to the members, who also felt the same way and it just became a stigma we could never rid ourselves of. No matter how much we tried, we couldn't hype ourselves up for CWA and without the motivation we would just perform poorly. The most infamous of this was during some Jcup or Zybez tournament in which we were to fight EH in the 3rd week, and it felt like we tried hard to push the members and each other as officials to get motivated and perform well to beat them, but we fucked it up and we lost to them while outnumbering them by 15. I suppose this is were we got our bad reputation for having poor member quality, but in the years before and after we prided ourselves on taking on fights outnumbered and holding our own and winning against those odds. As far as i know, we were the only clan to reach #1 (for however short a time) without ever pulling maxed options in our history. For me, the peak of EOS and our strongest point are two different times. The peak for me was the summer of 2009, when after failing to secure a week prep fight with EH after they backed out, i turned round and asked DF instead who were #1 at the time. At the time, no one considered us close to being able to beat them, but we did and did so again for several weeks afterwards. That for me was one of our best moments, coming from a small clan to becoming #1 even though it didn't last long. We were strongest in 2010, probably our most consistent year of constantly battling every clan we could trying to reclaim that top rank. I don't remember if we did or not, Oli would remember tho Aside from the 09 DF fight above, another highlight would be beating ROT on their "clan birthday" sometime in 2011. Something they did not take very well at all. Everyone outlasted at some point, sure we got the rep for it but to answer your question anything is fun if your doing it with your friends. We would always try to make the events fun, and even in tough situations like that where we were getting beaten we just had a laugh on TS the whole time. Sometimes when we ran laps we regrouped an came back strong, sometimes it was futile and we were fucked but at the end of the day having fun mattered the most.
  16. Oh wow i only just realised It's hard to look back after all this time an ascribe hate to how i felt about different clans, but the closest candidate would probably be Rot, because of what they did to us in terms of costing us real life money by taking down our forums and TS, ddosing our members. So i suppose at the time we hated them for it Paying us lot of money would probably do it From what i remember pretty cool guy an a decent caller, don't think he liked me much tho
  17. Short version is, a small group of members backed by a long time High Council tried to demote me from leader and remove me from the clan overnight while i slept. They forgot i owned the Teamspeak and they tried to remove everyone's admin access on forums but failed miserably, so all i had to do was text Chrisaki and 30 mins later it was done with. Pretty embarrassing really Never. The clan has moved on to different things and in my opinion the current clan world is showing signs of improvement from the shitfest that was the start of OSRS but it won't ever be as good as it was I'm not sure who that is
  18. Honestly looking back none of them, crash wars were just another thing the clan world collectively came up with to ruin Runescape clanning. Still around, talk to him on Teamspeak pretty regularly We did quite a few after other clans did it to us first?
  19. Of all time? probably outside the top 5. We started small and worked our way up over the years I suppose Dark Slayers would be the most overrated, sure they were strong for their time and achieved big things, but they failed to stand the test of time like so many other clans did. Part of being a great clan was longevity. Worst officials in EOS? They weren't bad because they didn't do their jobs, but Tankhive2 and Nduan1 were constantly fighting with each other in some sort of bitchy high school drama thing. While fun to read privately, it became an issue when they took it public and embarrassed us. But like i said they did the work they was supposed to. Best officials would probably be Allstar049 for the sheer work he put into making sure the small things got done. Having "that guy" in your clan that did all those things that needed doing were super valuable.
  20. Hi, my original RSN was Marqouth1 but everyone has been calling me Mar for years, even EOS officials who knew my real name. I started Runescape in about 2004 and was in smaller clans until I joined EOS in late 2006. I was promoted to Warlord 3 months later and then Head Warlord in 2008. I would have been leader in 2008 but things happened and after more things I was made leader of EOS alongside Oli in late 09 or early 2010. I have remained friends with people from EOS for almost 15 years now, playing all sorts of different games with them. In 2013 or 2014 me and Oli moved EOS over to Albion Online where we are currently alive and thriving, although i don’t have much to do with that these days. Feel free to ask any questions about EOS/myself or anything related and i’ll answer best i can
