When Runehead was popular I would use it for my community clan. I want to say around 2008-9 my Antivirus started detecting worms/trojans/spyware from it. One of them was called Trojan.onlinegames.Password stealer. Many people talk about how great RH was, but I was always curious if anyone had an experience like me. I had to completely reformat my PC so it wasn't a false positive. Have you heard anything about this? I know it's not Zybez but I would think that others would have had a similar experience and it traveled through the grapevine. JaGex always said to avoid fansites because of account security which seems reasonable enough. But I think you're saying it was more so related to greed, true? Were there any porking scandals behind closed doors at Zybezz? The people need to know ..
  5. Happy New Year to all the Kings and queens of the Tempest clan
  6. I needed a viable way to train construction, desperately. It was holding me back. Many people will say you should have just done Wintertodt for Con, but the problem is I'm a weirdo without a bank. If I start the todt grind without a looting bag and seed box, I'd lose a lot of necessities. So I decided I could complete Enlightened Journey, allowing me to traverse between Varrock and Taverly for Construction training. However, I lacked one of the requirements: 38 crafting. Needless to say, I took advantage of Shilo Village access, training mining and crafting at gem rocks. Some clue rewards along the way With that out of the way, I could start the construction grind. And after a few hours, I reached 46 allowing me to make most of the items that I wanted to store. Finally, I was free to begin the graceful grind...... Painted it because I needed to look good ... Went back and got 70 because 66 was an awkward number to look at.. After that, I was just going to grind some other skills. But my number one fan, Pete Noob was expecting something big for episode 5... I couldn't let him down. After doing some investigation I found some content creators making similar builds as me. They found ways to train slayer even as a level 3 by using a -100 weapon and an alt to venom. As long as you got the last hit you would gain half the experience. I decided to continue this until I unlocked slayer rings which was unrelenting torture.... But at least when I reach 75 crafting I'll have a new teleport..... So with my med level, the grind began.... Some of the tasks were very brutal... requiring me to block npcs with my med until aggro ended.. By the time I finished, I broke rank 1k in Slayer with account builds... Was this grind pointless? Absolutely. I really am crazy
  7. I didn't think it would end like this. You hate to see it. Those were the thoughts crossing my mind with time running out to reclaim my items. It all started with the Tourist Trap. I wanted Thieving XP and knew that could give me a good chunk of experience. Unfortunately, I forgot how lethal the desert could be. My life flashed before me as I got stacked out by a level 42 camel. That would have been a weird way to die, had I chosen the path of a HCIM. Now the method for madness originally was to recoil the boss fight down. However, the last of my recoils shattered while I was attempting to do a med clue. I really wasn't looking forward to grinding Magpie. So, after some investigation, I found and followed a different path to victory. Kudos to my old pure for the help. Little did I know the dangers were far from over. The neat thing about being level 3 is you notice a lot more aggressive NPCs you otherwise wouldn't notice. Gg, outplayed. With that finished, I continued grinding quests. @Pietru suggested I attempt Jungle Potion so my plan was to end it there. The most interesting part of the quest was finding out there are aggressive Venus Flytraps on the island. I wish I could post more about the quest but it was relatively easy... That's when I knew. I needed to go even further beyond..... I was going to attempt Shilo Village. To start I managed to successfully avoid the zombies at the start of the quest. What I didn't know was failing to climb up a rock to exit the cavern would result in 10 fall damage. I was instantly toast. The way to get back was a doozy of a journey but I didn't want to lose my precious blue beret. Sadly, on the way back I was met with more disaster - poisoned by a tribesman with a 10-damage effect. A second death came and the time to reclaim my original items was ticking down. I thought for sure the era of superb fashion scape was over. Yet... In the nick of time I made it back to continue the quest. Eventually making it to the 3 form boss fight. I wasn't sure this method to victory was going to work but with the help of my med level, yolo. Got an awesome new necklace. Wish I could keep it but I suspect as a UIM I'll have to drop it eventually.
