But why did anyone ever think they could condense an RPG game (you know, a genre revered for having insane story telling and depth) into a short movie. Should have been a series. End result was didn't make sense to anyone who isn't into Warcraft, but it didn't make sense to those of us who nerd wank over it either. Compare this to Arcane where more than half it's viewerbase fucking despise League of Legends or know nothing about the universe and yet it's considered probably one of the best animated series of this century. I'm still disappointed on Warcraft movie. They could just easily do Warcraft 3 storyline and doing a trilogy based on it and simply follow the source material closely with the Warcraft 3 Campaign Warcraft pt.1 - Scourge of Lordaeron (we get to know Arthas, Jaina, Uther, Mal Ganis and how Arthas fell into darkness) Warcraft pt.2 - Path of the Damned (We follow Arthas into his journey and the destruction of Lordaeron, Quel'Thalas & Dalaran) Warcraft pt.3 - Legacy of the Damned (Finale where we follow Arthas's journey into Northrend to fulfill his role becoming the Lich King) Cramming all the lore of Warcraft into a single movie feels really rushed and too confusing for the masses.
