There are fewer clans now than there used to be, and some often close or like Wilderland retire die to achieving what they set out to achieve. Some close then reopen AF for example in recent OSRS times. So let's debate / discuss the Clan World one year from now. Consider the following, you don't have to answer them, just discuss freely! What clans will close? What clans may reopen? What clans will merge? Will there be more pure clans? Will another main Clan open? Who will be #1 F2p / P2P? Which leaders will become retired leaders? Let's discuss! Adam_ 1,033 Posted August 4, 2021 Share Posted August 4, 2021 it will probably be pretty similar but with less people and potentially even less clans What clans will close? not sure if any will close most of the ones around currently have a knack for sticking around and never posting a closing topic, one of those clans is already pretty dead (VR) What clans may reopen? probably none lol What clans will merge? don't think any that haven't already will except for maybe some small clans that aren't worth discussing and maybe dk doing their 73rd mass join into some other clan Will there be more pure clans? more than now? probably not. will some open? yeah probably it seems like pure clans are always opening and closing lol Will another main Clan open? probably not a relevant one or for too long Who will be #1 F2p / P2P? hard to say really Which leaders will become retired leaders? a lot of the leaders have been around for years and years and sacrificed a lot to stay active in their clans, don't know if any that are still around this point are gonna be leaving anytime too soon. could see maybe a leader from some of the clans that have several perhaps going inactive though (rot/rev) if they're busy enough irl since there's 3-4 others to take care of things while they're gone Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't think any of the current clans who do F2P will close (namely AF, REV, Tempest, RoT) - smaller clans will probably struggle quite a bit though What clans may reopen? I wanna say EoS since they reopen every other year but probably not; I don't think any other notable clan will reopen for time being What clans will merge? VR and DR maybe? Will there be more pure clans? Nah no way Will another main Clan open? Hard no even for the next 5 years, the clanning scene is always slumping harder every coming year, there's literally no incentive to opening a clan at this point Who will be #1 F2p / P2P? F2P is hard to say since everyone's on pretty much an equal standing right now, P2P on other hand I'd probably hand it to AF or REV Which leaders will become retired leaders? Wee Man 1,347 Posted August 4, 2021 Share Posted August 4, 2021 Judging how Tempest's first year has gone I wouldn't feel confident in any kind of predictions for how the clan scene will grow or decline over the next 12 months. A lot of it depends on Jagex and the playerbase. If Jagex push the wildy content correctly and announce a jcup I can see an uptick in activity. To answer your questions: What clans will close? Impossible to say really. I don't see Vr lasting much longer but that was a given from day 1 of reopening. What clans may reopen? None hopefully, I'd rather see some new opponents. What clans will merge? Definitely none. Will there be more pure clans? I hope not, pures should all train up and stop wasting their time. Will another main Clan open? Fuck knows, I hope so. Who will be #1 F2p / P2P? Tempest will retain #1 across all categories. Which leaders will become retired leaders? None, RS clanning is so much more laid back and lenient so whatever time you have works these days. What clans will merge? DR/VR already merged rn. Will there be more pure clans? Probably way into the future. After the pure scene kills itself off with it's current mains it might decide to do a redo and some new clans will come out of that. Will another main Clan open? Maybe. If some smaller groups close it's possible. Who will be #1 F2p / P2P? Tempest will probably always be #1 F2P in PvP. Dunno about P2P though. Which leaders will become retired leaders? None. Random pure clans/main teams, maybe EoS for the 87th time What clans will merge? Rot + whatever slave clan they absorb next, DR/VR might officially merge Will there be more pure clans? of course Will another main Clan open? likely a small team/clan (like Samurai), but nothing significant Who will be #1 F2p / P2P? Tempest / AF / Rev Which leaders will become retired leaders?
