I heard Jagerblue was some rank in DF but spied. Was he spying before he was promoted? How long did he take to get caught? Anything interesting about that story?

 

Anyone every tried to do anything worth mentioning other than talking shit/starting rumors out of retaliation for being booted from a clan by you?

 

Under your leadership did DF ever notably use spies in other clans except for Jim?

I know i've read a bit about it before but can't remember exact details - I know there was a point where DF basically yeeted all retireds and time based ranks or something like that. Was that your decision or done while you were in leadership of the clan? How did you feel about it? How did the clan/community feel about it? Do you think things could've been done differently? It seems like DF have somewhat reinstated some sort of veteran/retired rank unless i'm misunderstanding their ranking system.

As mentioned before, Omniusha was very hard to work with sometimes. He was stubborn to be stubborn sometimes, would remove people from the in-game clan as punishment and told to "get 1k capes." He'd let other people make the decisions and be overly critical when he should have made that call. That being said, I have a lot of love for Omni and our relationship grew over time. After a few flare ups, he basically never came at me and told me it was because he knew I cared about DF. Very strange dynamic, but he really was good for DF if you look at the whole package.

In mid-2011 a group of DF officials thought he was TOO hard to work with anymore and wanted to basically approach him to change or throw him out of office. I think most people thought Omni was just a huge asshole and annoying, but there was definitely a few pushing for his ousting. I personally feel like Dennis wanted to be promoted to Leader if it happened, but that wouldn't have happened and the consensus was, if Omni were to either step down or be demoted, we would re-promote @Shinobi from Legend to Leader. Anyways, someone organized some "secret TS meeting" with our officials and @Lego and Kim were there advising us on how to approach him. I can't remember who, but I do remember someone suggesting that Lego take Leader and we were hit with a swift no.

 

Anyways, our conclusion was to make a leadership thread saying hey we all think you're an asshole, please change and here are some specifics. Omni's reply? Something along the lines of "Fuck off, if I change it's for the members, not you fuckers." We weren't sure how to react, but he stayed Leader through the rest of the year and thankfully lightened up like 5%.

 

At the New Year, Shinobi was promoted Leader to serve alongside Omni. Omni's relationship with the officials team got pretty rough, mostly because there was a growing divide. Two halves of the Leadership hated each other and Omni was this godlike force kicking people from the in-game clan chat and randomly deleted their TS accounts lmao. Eventually, there was a thread in the Old School/App Review/Storm Trooper/Legend forum that spiraled out of control and was very critical of Omniusha. This led to Omni non-stop kicking (not banning) @Kiwi from Teamspeak non-stop with messages like "die of cancer" "die in a car accident" etc. This is was happening in front of the members, with drama spilling all over the forums and IRC.

 

A few hours later Omni was smoked off forums to a member rank and Shinobi made the decision to remove him from Leader.

On the worst caller thread several people including yourself named DavidDamage - do you think it's fitting he's currently a rank in VR? Why is he seemingly widely regarded as a terrible caller?

 

Are there any people you think I or others who aren't as familiar with old DF members would be surprised to learn were once DF?

 

Can you tell us the full story about how @Wee Man hacked a Tempest forums administrator account near the beginning of the clan ?

Did Amateurnoob really end up being the first person kicked from Tempest solely because he didn't want to sign into the forum account you made him or was there more to it? Why did he not want to use it lol
