I was just in Ireland a few months ago! Did lot of the same as you did actually, Flew into Dublin, went to the Guinness Brewery and went and went to the oldest pub in Dublin and some Viking museums and cocktail bars. Drove to Athlone and went to the Ireland's oldest pub from like A.D. 500 called Sean's Pub. Lot of famous people throughout history visited there. Went into the Irish countryside and saw some of the sheepherding dogs doing work out in the fields there. Made our way out to Galway and saw the Cliffs of Moher and stuck around for another day going to some of the live music bars out there. Flew into Edinburgh, Scotland and did a lot of whiskey tasting down there. Went to Luss where it was an old viking town long time ago and have a few famous ones buried there. Lot of cool hogback stones. Came to love Haggis when we stopped in Glasgow and saw some highland cows on the way there from Edinburgh before heading back stateside. Was a pretty good time overall. It would be hard for me to say what would be my best vacation, but one of the best I've had was when I was out in Thailand and staying there on Government paid hotels while partying it up everyday in my early 20s or when I went to see some of my boys from the UK and Paris in London and had a blast of a boys trip which was a few months after Ireland.
