I don't know exactly why but such life hacks doesn't seem to work for me if I'm feeling sore, asleep or just exhausted — which can happen very often if I don't get enough sleep or don't eat whole foods as part of my diet. E.g, I could watch videos on 2x speed but wouldn't be able to pay any attention, I could shower in a couple of minutes in cold water but if I'm dead tired I won't be productive at all. Also being hungry kills all my energy so I always try to grab a few carbs with me wherever I go. Although those tips can be very useful we should not forget we're still humans with basic and biological needs. That would be my 'trick', if anything.
