Yeah i had a bit of eczema and they said the same but the head nurse told her to move and stabbed me anyway.

I've had 3 not so good experiences. First was a student and she stabbed me 7 times before getting it right which I knew was going to happen so I wasn't that bothered. The second she went straight through my vein the bruise was the size of my forearm. Third she angled the needle wrong and the open part of the point was up against the roof of my vein so blood wouldn't pass through it. So 23/26 has been okay.

Why not? You have a bad experience before or just don't want to?

I started on my 17th birthday when my brother surprised me that i was giving blood. yesterday was my 23rd donation so ive donated just under 13L.

I agree, i think it should be mandatory to give blood. I go every 12 weeks.

That really strange because the average person can lose 13% of there blood before feeling faint, which is roughly 650ml.

Well at least you tried which is the main thing and hopefully your medical condition isnt a serious. My first experience wasnt a bad one, my brother took me into the city centre on my 17th birthday and was like we are giving blood happy birthday.

Very nice, keep up the good work. I have A- Blood is around 8% of people have it. Im fine with needles i just cant wait it going in, once its in im fine.

Book in with me in 12 weeks, or we'll time it to go on one of your weeks off, its easy and you fine out you blood type. Im next due on the 7th July, so name a date after that, or a day you aint working and ill book it off.

No i have been fine after all the times i have donated, My brother fainted almost everytime he gave bllod even tho he was fit and healthly. I kind of donate for a different reason, yeah saving lives is a bonus. but my grandad had to stop after donating 98 times so he never got his 100 donation gold card/badge, so im trying to get it, sadly more than likely he would have passed before that is possible but i donate so someone in the family can have to gold achievement.
