Food: Jollof Rice - Ghana/Nigeria My mother was born in Ghana and I practically grew up eating this every other week. Used to always make it with Spring Lamb but it's actually more commonly made with Chicken. However in the 90s/early 2000s lamb was so fucking cheap even in an expensive cut like baby lamb. Samgyeopsal 삼겹란 - South Korea In my opinion one of the best dishes on the planet. Common at KBBQ. The reason why it's so good is you can eat this every day and it'll be a long time before you get bored of it, you grill it on the table at the bar and you get an assortment of vegetables, kimchi, seasonings, noodles, rice, wrapping lettuce leaves etc and the idea is you can customise every single bite to your liking. If I'm at home my favourite is pretty simple, just a plain old burger. For drink, my go to is Heineken, but I also drink cider (normally Bulmers) depending on the situation.
