Adam_ 1,031 Posted October 15, 2020 Share Posted October 15, 2020 I presume not a ton of people here are highly interested in ironman type stuff, but does anyone have any plans to participate in the Trailblazer league on an alt or anything alongside main game progress? Personally I think i'm going to at least give it a shot and see how I feel then go from there deciding what I want to do if anything and where to unlock, though i'll probably make some plans in advance in case I really end up wanting to play. It seems like they've put a lot more thought in from the previous league and learned well from the feedback on it. Playing around with some content with some of the really OP relics sounds like it could be enjoyable, similar to a pserver but without the owner trying to hack you. I have a few friends that play UIM though a lot are unhappy with some of the recent updates mainly the costume room rework and to a lesser extent the plank sack. If it makes you feel any better there were a fair few pieces of content that kind of sucked due to the amount of people playing, late game kind of sucked due to lack of content at least that was what I could see by people well ahead of me and what many told me, which is why I stopped playing too much after a bit. I saw a lot of people also go quite dry for specific items like a stab weapon so they could do CoX which seemed to kill it for some people. It seems like they put a lot more thought and planning into this one with instances for GWD/some other content, more relics, points spread evenly across diff activities/areas and iirc boosted drop rates. If there were one to play out of the two, i'd say it would definitely be this one. I'm glad we can still get rewards from the last league as well, points depending I may try to get myself the horns to save myself spending the 20m on the main game. Costume room update literally made UIM baby mode; the point of UIM is efficient inventory management, this update really isn't helping with it since now you can just throw clue items into wardrobe. At least you can't get them out of there until you get the full set I guess.. A lot weren't huge fans of STASH units, noted pots or a few other things as well. Glad plank sack isn't as big an issue, I saw when Tempoross was proposed that they had suggested a fish barrel but none of the UIMs I knew seemed to be upset about it. I think there was another recent update or proposal that made some of them upset, but it's slipping my mind. I imagine little to nothing has really changed for f2p in ages mainly because f2p doesn't get updates barring the bot restrictions a few months ago which obviously wouldn't effect you, so I imagine playing without as much fear of an update like that being gamechanging to the mode is kinda nice ? Latest game changing update we've gotten in F2P is ogresses which came with the corsair cove quest, completely turned the meta around for combat training; also 10s snares. It might not be much, but F2P meta for most nature runes per hour is telegrabbing @ lava dragon isle.
