Exotic or Unusual pets

Depending on where you live it may be more normal than other countries to have a certain animal for a pet, so for the sake of the thread, let's just say usual pets are: dogs, cats, common fish (goldfish/beta fish/etc), hamsters, guinea pigs

Are there any unusual pets you've had? Are there any unusual pets you want to get or plan to get?

Personally for me the most unusual pet i've had was one of these fellas but I don't think they're too uncommon anywhere you can buy pet fish

otherwise had a lot of goldfish/other common fish, a dog, and my sister had a ton of hamsters

Eventually i'd like to probably get another dog which isn't too unusual or exotic and maybe a pet pig, but I don't like the idea of people buying pets they can't give the proper attention or take care of, and wouldn't want to be one myself. I don't really think I could take care of either let alone both currently (at least to the standards i'd prefer), so that'll probably be a future thing unless I change my mind. The main concern would be that from what research i've done it seems like pigs generally prefer to be around others and it's preferable to have wide open areas for them to roam, so i'd definitely prefer to have at least the latter and another pet it could get along with if not another pig.

Think i'd also like to get some exotic fish one day but on top of how expensive they are i've heard some of them can be pretty hard to take care of due to needing certain conditions and fish aren't the most interactive creatures even if they do look neat.

When I was really little I had a couple small geckos. One day I was dumb and left the top off, they escaped and my dog ate them. Rip.

I'm a big snake/reptile lover. My goal one day is to own a yellow ball python.

Realistically I'd love to get a bearded dragon, chameleon, or iguana as a starter pet. Possibly even getting a water monitor (they get up to 100lbs). Would be cool as shit gaming with a lizard on my shoulder honestly

A friend of mine in RS became quite a big snake person over the past few years and she has quite a few now. She posts pictures of them on twitter from time to time and they're pretty neat. A lot of the reptiles that are more reasonable to own (legally/climate/whatever) seem pretty neat
