I only half agree tbh, especially with the removal of the rev caves, with as active as f2p is right now, it's awkward to not see them leading the charge.. DF is one of the best clans of all time, they belong in f2p and now p2p as well and thats a compliment tbh.

I enjoyed most of the events. There were none back then that I didn't really enjoy because it always felt great to go ham with the crew. When I came back in 2016 those fights were not fun.

I might have went to VR because of Cera. VR and DF were alike because we always liked to have a good time, but DF was more competitive and had less gaffes.

Do you prefer F2p or P2p and why? (I think I know the answer to the first part but ya)

If you could pass down one lesson to leadership of the clans in today's clan world, based on your careers, what do you think the most important one would be?

While I know for sure the jmods weren't exactly as involved in the community as they are nowadays (though it's not really among pvp clans), i've heard/read about some occasions of them interacting with clans and their communities including in Mod Mat K's AMA. When you guys were in leadership was there any interesting things they did just for memes, or were there any decent discussions between your leadership/communities and the jagex team?

In your time PvPing were there ever any kills you got that you were proud of ? Whether it was big loot or a kill on someone particularly hard to kill

What's the most 'nh' thing you were either part of or had knowledge of but didn't do anything about or allowed to happen during your time clanning?

I prefer f2p because there's more reliance on the clan as a unit then individuals. P2p was a bit less organized then so it was reliant upon the individual to make the right moves around his friends within his vicinity. F2p is about everyone being on the same page at the same time, and the collaboration that was required, is respectable. P2p has evolved and become may more organized then it was back then, but I like putting on that rune.

If you could change anything from your time as leader/head warlord what would it be?

I look back and regret not leveling up earlier and potentially could have gotten closer to warlord sooner than I did. My time as warlord-head warlord was very short compared to DF's life, so I would have liked to lead DF at that time.

Also wish I established more good relationships with other clans. It goes a long way when they're able to collaborate. We used to have to deal with NI and the ability to AC with other clans was great. We were so competitive though that it blind sided us and sometimes worked against us. I remember fights when having to lead with 30 or so snipers on me only to return in a minute and do it all over again.

Do you think the current Divine Forces should try and re-invent themselves and go back to basics (F2P) which made them successful? It doesn't seem as though p2p is really benefiting them as a clan.

Having opened DF in 2005, and only really having 2 full years before free trade and wilderness battles were removed, how did you handle it and what type of conversations were had to maintain your members, how many people would you say quit the game because of the update, what hard steps were taken as a result of the update that helped push DF to it's new heights, and how did it affect DF as a clan?

When the wild was removed, we were ready to take on the next medium that would harbor fights. Of course, the idea of that become castle wars was both humorous and terrifying. I remember teleporting to GDZ and seeing other clans in the wild and couldn't do anything. But I have to give it to the runescape community on zybez, we banded together and said we have to get pvp back. I remember posts on rs forums, petitions, because of a complete uproot of our community. When we got BH, nobody was happy but there was no other choice. So we carried on and still found a way to compete.

I never really remembered an enjoyable fight against DF, I always got the sense that it was 'Win at any cost' and DF were involved with some of the longest fights ever in Runescape (multiple 12h+; including 24h). That's not just from one specific era, but it probably started somewhere in 07 or late 06 and continued right through to 2012 or whenever Jagex thought EOC would be a good idea (maybe later, I quit then).  That's not a dig against DF, all clans did it at some point but I just remember DF doing it more than others.

Was there ever a time either of you wanted to call off a fight but someone else wanted to keep going even when you felt it was just a waste of time? If so, who was that person?

I also remember in 07ish (?) You guys tried to do more p2p and had a p2p leader etc (can't remember the name). Why do you think that fell flat, and what would you have done differently? (Either a new approach to p2p, or just forget it all together?).

Anyway, credit where credit's due - You guys did a good job with recruiting and maintaining a large playerbase for a long period of time. Thanks for the memories.

At the time I was in Divine Forces, it was try very hard to win, but not at all costs. Back then I remember in participating in fights that were usually 2-4 hours. I may have participated in one 12 hour fight but I don't remember managing it.

Being Head Warlord, people may have come up to me sparingly and talk about calling off a fight. Back then I think we made appropriate decisions in terms of not having them last very long. Usually our motto was, 'we lost the fight today, let's win the war tomorrow.'

Yes, in 2007 we did try p2p, and did have p2p leaders. I think it fell flat because we acceled in f2p due to our organization and experience. 2007 had big p2p events but we were not experienced. On a side note, I remember Pking with Aggression at Mage Bank and DF getting shit for it because I was pking with a no honor clan.

@Bunty what were your thoughts on DS and what was DF's approach during your time as leader/high council on how to go about handling them in terms of giving them fights vs trying to focus on other clans and avoid them?  If they had stayed open and kept going do you think DF would have been the best clan to challenge for their spot first, or would another clan like Corr have been more likely, or DI resurging to take back the top spot?

Also, what were your thoughts on my being able to recruit Avster and you never getting him to join DF ?

@Homedawg I know a lot of people had differing opinions on the role of head warlord over the years.  Being one that held the rank, what did you see your role as during your time with it?

I thought my role was being able to push people beyond their limits. When I first joined DF, I had no writing skills. As I watch people like Lego, I learned from his way of writing. This would result in me writing very long pre-fight topics that I thought got to people. I remember people reading those topics and getting amped up going into a fight. I wish @true could find a way to dig those up.

Not sure if it was during your time however, but I know True knows him. If you did meet him, thoughts?

If you were to come back to clanning today would you go back to DF, would you join Tempest, would you seek to open a new clan, or would you join another clan entirely? And what would be the reasoning behind your choice(s)?

Follow up from that - do you think you'll ever return to clanning in some capacity? If the answer is no for any reason but just refusing to return - what would have to change for you to come back, whether it be irl circumstances or with the clanning community/the game?

Do you guys still play the game despite not really being part of clanning? Other games?

What are interesting reasons you had to reprimand / remove members from the clan during your time in leadership, if any? (Even if it wasn't you directly removing them but another rank/the leader)

As you guys were mostly retired throughout later rs2 / rs3 / OSRS are there any things you regret missing out on during these eras?

Most overrated clan you've encountered during your time?

Clan you had the best opinion of and why?

Clan you had the worst opinion of and why?

Least favorite members and why / least favorite official you've had the (dis)pleasure of being part of a rank team with and why?

    I don't recall an austin P.

If I came back to clanning I would not join DF and would probably join Tempest. Although, I'm not really in the position to invest that amount of time. My future is important to me and I will continue to move forward in that direction. I would love to maintain all the friendships I've created throughout my time in this community.

Tempest is unique and special because, to me, it is a place where all the people I used to play with are. And these are people that I used to get amped to beat lol. To be able to chat on these forums, and poke LH44 once in a while, is nice.

Being an Old School RS Clanner. What are your thoughts on the changes in today's Clan World?

Divine Forces has always been an outstanding clan all throughout the Clan History. Being a high ranking official for the clan. What pressure was put on you and what expectation was given to you by the leader you served?

Most old school gamers come back for the community. I think the communities lack new, original, blood that's caused the status quo to become stale. I think part of this is because new gamers have the mindset that they can change their name online and become a new person therefore what's done in the past can be wiped. That may be why older people who used to be apart of these communities maintain their names and everything associated with it. Credibility had value.

Back then, being someone like head warlord, you kind of have the authority of a leader when it comes to fighting. And when that is done 5+ days a week then those responsibilities become, maintaining 'honor'(lol). But also giving your all every time.

What was so special, in df's eyes, about Flinstoneman?

He was a good pk leader and i think a high level at a time when only DI and DS were majority 124+

How did you guys feel about Lego/Kim being in a relationship and both ranked, did this ever cause drama?

    Actually it didn't. I didn't mind.

Who were some of your favourite members to have around in 2006? 2007? 2008?

Danc was my man. He had a thing for TT  and would somehow be able to get spies on their forums. We would check the back end of forums for passwords and find the people who reused passwords. Was great.

Lil2 was my wingman who would go to battle every fight with me. He was reliable.

TT used to have a rivalry with Rune Raiders. They were a stronger clan at the time, but we were growing in numbers and better organized. An important fight was arranged with them and DF promised to AC for us. We were actually on good terms with DF, they used to help us out from time to time since many members were friends with each other. DF never showed up (arranged another fight or something), we got crashed and lost the fight. From that point on I took it personally.

It didn't escalate drastically until the first World War. DF and Corr had a huge rivalry. Corr was joined by Di while DF fought with VR and Rune Raiders. We didn't like VR and we didn't like RR so we decided to join Corr in that fight. Even though our side lost, DF had an orgasm because we joined the Corr side.

I even went on DF forums to make peace with them and explain that there was no sense for us to join their side since they had scummy clans in it. I got flamed and banned (some DF members actually thought it was cool that I wanted to make peace).

After that I brainwashed members into hating DF for years. We won all our major fights with DF because everyone was so pumped up to fight them. A lot of RR joined DF so that made things worse as well. On top of that DF allied with VR for a long period... So I think you can understand how easy it was to motivate my members...

At the end of the day I was also brainwashed to hate RR, but I got no clue why because that rivalry started before I joined TT. Gotta ask older TT members about that one lol.

    I think this is related,

    Brief Introduction
I joined DF in 2005 under Death240. I became Head Warlord in 2007 and had so much fun while I was there. Leading DF into battle against many of the people in this clan, dare I say it was glorious. Not only did the constant wars, competitive challenges against DI, DS, CORR, Titans, and RSD leave a roll of memories that have turned to legend, but to have such a collaborative and collective effort with such a large group of people at that time, it was like playing in the Friday night varsity football games.

Looking back, it was a lot of fun playing Runescape with everyone. Whether on the same side or looking across the field, it couldn't have happened without everyone involved. If I pursue Tempest, I look forward to making new friends while walking down memory lane, laughing at old memories.

By the way, @Bishinmo put out some introduction like "You all know who I am, what I have done and what I'm capable of". This is what I remember, :hash:
