  1. 7 - I'm not the one in charge of the Portuguese community nowadays but I did regain some more responsabilies again like 2 weeks ago. But I was the CEO for almost 3 years (and staff for almost 8 years already) and many of the ideas behind the community were mine in fact. We always had our values that we keep +\- the same since the start and some of them are having a neutral place in terms of clanning, a place where people can find motivation to play as a group and community free of NH people with jagex rules on mind. I found myself during these years helping admins of other latino communities, also, but not only brazillian communities. I got called to advice a not so small Brazillian community like in January 2021 (I won't say the name of the community tho, but I keep tracking their progress). There are plenty of small brazillian communities but they lack the knowledge of how to run a healthy community and how to solve issue, specially when they require the most tragic measures. And that is the difference between the Portuguese community and the others. 8 - It was really not the same. And believe that if it wasnt Wilderland and was something else, specially if it was "Wilderlegends" or "The Call of Wilderlegends" I think more people would join. Exotic was a neutral place, also was WL, but former TCL members didnt perceive it that way and they would have that perception of it if the name was another. I could give you a list of like 200 people we got banned from the portuguese community, not to mention brazillians. Both are excellent, I think D96 is more tactical, and Victor is more emotional/motivational. I guess it was that one against WL that we took sleeping shifts and I did fight in the morning
  2. Just dropping another TCL vs WL video I found from back in 2009
  3. Here is a funny story I can tell. I'm irl friend of Pte_Kis, year 2010, World Cup was happening and we were meeting on a daily basis to watch the World Cup and to talk about runescape. Pte_Kis was also a TCL official at that time. Pte_Kis used to phone scam Mib_17 (who was WL) quite on a daily basis and Mib didn't know who was phone scamming him. But one day I was the one who made the call. He answers the phone, I speak and he says "Pte_Kis, I know its you" and we laughted really hard because for the first time, it wasnt Pte_Kis 😂😂 Also, by the same time, we bribed Mantorras. Mantorras was a WL official, we settled a pact with him helping him out on a NH stuff of his own and he would share his login details on WL forums. And we knew everything WL was planning for like 2 weeks until Mantorras got busted I think ahahaha 😂 Its hard to say. We would need to sort out the differences between both sides to make it work first. I was able to do it in Team Portugal, a team that met TCL, WL, HA and MMA portuguese members together and we even had WL staff there when the leadership was always of TCL members (DreadPandora, me and Pte_Kis). I think I lost the voice recording but I know I did record it. This one day that @Aiorya decided it would be great to call a CLW against some randoms while drunk. Ofc it was a loss but like one of the memeiest moments ever 😂 Lisbon, June 2008, Rock in Rio, having Kaiser Chiefs, Muse, The Offspring and Linkin Park, same day same stage. A really hard laugh ahahaha It was like 20-25% portuguese and rest brazillians
  4. Gratz on justin beaver
  5. 1st question - As said, we had our backups but it was really backstabbing from Hugo doing what he did. We never talked about it, I did admire his quality and he could now be remembered as a top member of TCL if he didnt do what he did. We are still friends on facebook tho. 2nd - I watched the video and I guess I wasnt there. I dont remember the fight even though I wasnt retired. But November 2012 was really stressful for me because I had alot of high school projects to deliver at that time Since I remember (and since I started playing runescape), portuguese and brazillians already had this excellent relationship. Ofc there are portuguese that hate brazillians and vice versa and some others that even dont enjoy the likes of their own country. But even for Jagex that works that way. The portuguese staff working for jagex have portuguese and brazillians mixed. But the cultures are really different no matter what topic you pick. I remember like 15 years ago what a struggle it was to schedule a Sunday event because the brazillians used to go to church at that day and portuguese couldnt care the most about that. And the proof about that is my hometown. To get from my home to the catholic church I could stop on 5 different, brazillian religion churches.
  6. I can always recall that day when I did tank like 270 opts of DK from east tree to west tree, pray mage on, like my best tank ever because they didn't drop the pile but took them too long to finish. Basically b4uz answered Adam's question and vice versa. They are really the most overrated clan I've ever seen and if not, then they cant be considered a clan at all. Never heard from them again since like late 2020. 1st question - I just performed one mass recruit campain of portuguese to TCL, if I did that like 2 or 3 times more, it would have been different for sure. 2nd - The uncapped vs Arroz made me 10 years younger for a day, the feeling that I'm still able to do it like i did back then was really nice. But the fight was easy and it wasnt that way back in the time. 3rd - That would make no sense today. Not only it would take numbers from WL but add a rivalry, TCL former members have really active irl and cant attend anymore, like Doutorsp and Galhas10 are gaming professionals at other games (but they still tried osrs), Dogax did quit osrs recently (but he is top pvmer and skiller nowadays), Wilky, DreadPandora and Goodwar15 have solid work projects that require all they attention. 4th - I'm a guy with really alot of good relations with many people and I have like 6 groups of irl friends from across all my jobs, across school, from university, from camping, from my neighbors and also from politics. And I still at to them the really different groups of people I know from Runescape, portuguese community being by far the strongest one due to my +7 years as a staff (and still counting), but also the clans i've been into and these are the ones who got me the knowledge about the different cultures of people who play this game. We are defending our title this summer. For the 2021 euro I would go with the following starting 11: GK: Rui Patrício Defenders: Raphael Guerreiro, Pepe, Rúben Dias, João Cancelo Midfield: Danilo, Bruno Fernandes, Pizzi Forward: Cristiano Ronaldo, André Silva, Bernardo Silva But there are so many other talented players that really makes it hard to choose from
  7. The only thing I would change is that I would fight for a bit longer at those uncapped fights (I used to fight most of the time, but many times didnt manage to stay until the end due to my studies) I have to agree that if we didn't have crashers it would make it more enjoyable fights. I don't remember and dont expectate to start and finish a whole fight without being crashed I wish we had the same quality as Fools, they were the best and undisputed country clan of all times. You should try fried cuttlefish. It's a recipe from my hometown and believe it, its really good! https://amodadoflavio.pt/ophaboah/2017/06/chocook.jpg
  8. That match I watched it with Divine Forces people back then and I remember how Drag Ahrimps felt back that day ahahah Don't know True other than being a leader. He was always a leader when I was DF and now that I'm joining Tempest also. And he is that person that looks to know about the members to help them improve. True knows because we talked about it recently, but if True didn't go inactive back when I left DF, maybe still today I would be DF (but I still find it difficult). Totally against it. I use runelite because it is jagex reviewed but jagex is free of responsabilities if something bad happens from it. I find those plugins an unfair advantage because it gives you visual of things you can do just normally if you are an experienced warrer. In my opinion, Jagex should release a client as good as runelite and dont allow the use of all other clients or make runelite their official client and still restrict all other clients. 1st Question - Friends drew me to Tempest. I could use as many refs as I wanted to join. Its been a year since True, Victor, David and others tried, but true was the one who tried more often and I was available at the moment to take on the challenge despite having a busy irl. 2nd Question - It was all about the sponsorships. The first day it came out I was crystal clear that if the sponsor was still there in the next 2 hours I would leave and that was it. As a Pmod, I couldn't be with a clan supporting rwt ads of things that I and Jagex fight against. It would be supporting a thing that I wished it closed the following day, thats no sense so I left.
  9. Friends and friends to both questions, because people made their decisions that way. If we had the same numbers back then, we would be one of the top clans atm. If we were to open right now it would be difficult to catch up with Tempest and other clans put we would put effort into it I guess
  10. The clan who helped me become near perfection, but it became like a evil pact where I had a cost to pay. I can guess DF nowadays its a clan/community private like thing, I know they still exist, still have some friends there and Daniel F is my irl friend. Back then, one side of me would say thats a wrong thing to do, the other would say I dont care as long it isnt our forums. Every clan had problems with spies. We had spies spying on us and we also had our spies in WL and HA. But the best of all was the staff member of WL who did spy for us, they even lended us the forum account
  11. I remember watching this TV show called "Paranormal Activity", back in the season 2 I think, they aired 2 stories about UFO's, one of them related to UK military and the other about the only person to be abducted by the UFO and returning 1 week after
  12. Everybody in Portugal/Brazil loves football. And btw, CR7 > all. Times are really different, even comparing with other osrs clans i've been into. But Tempest numbers are mostly the numbers we had back in the days with TCL, but Tempest having much higher quality. Don't really remember but I think Aiorya was one of the callers definately TCL and WL closed by the same moment, short after EoC. Most people gave up and even with osrs people didnt bother to train their accounts back, retaliation opened still to fight in legacy rs3 then exotic to start in osrs, but both clans already had tcl+wl+ha members mixed. My thoughts: -Wilderland (The all time country clan of portuguese/brazillian history, they were never #3, sometimes were #2 when SoG and TCL were stronger) -Hell Army (They took long time to step in between the tcl vs wl feud, in special back in the 2nd jagex cup where they got 100 members, even some of them were former tcl and wl members) -MMA (They had their best moments at the times SoG and TCL closed, it was the remaning country clan when WL, TCL and HA closed, I still remember fighting them when I was in Retaliation, but MMA was the eternal #4) -MB (Not the eternal #5 because at sometimes even Tugas Revolution and LG were better then them)
  13. Fewest of the Brazillian people got to know each other because its a really wide country. But i'm portuguese and managed to guide @D96 in Lisbon back in 2015 (we were exotic back then) But the portuguese have a community running since 2001 and back in 2009-12 and also in 2019 we scheduled alot of irl meeting in specific places of Portugal during a weekend. But the most remarkable one was in 2010, it happened in Aveiro, the meeting that we had 25-30 players there, we had Shadow Mix (WL Leader), Goodwar15 (TCL Leader), Alfa (portuguese community founder) and Telmomarques (#1 world overall at that time) all present
  14. I think some underestimated us, even some portuguese and brazillian still underestimate what we did and what we still do nowadays. Mostly because country projects are felt that way. And thats good because we did surprise most of our challengers and people who crossed our path. Just to tell you that DreadPandora no longer plays but we will talk. He was like 2 months ago at a portuguese tv show. He's a business man, had his business closed (and still closed) due to the pandemic and he reinvented himself and opened another business thats running really well. And also he was the one who, with me, recruited all those 20 portuguese people to TCL back in 2008. Answering to the portuguese side of that question, I and DreadPandora were always influent in the portuguese community (a community that started back in 2001 and still exists) and we had a project called Team Portugal, we were both leaders, despite having members of WL, HA, MMA, when people did think about joining a clan, they considered TCL because of us. Maintaining the numbers was associated with keeping the players motivated
  15. A fight against WL where we had sleeping shifts, because of the 4 hours difference between Portugal and Brazil, I was one of the earlier sleepers and continued fighting in the morning. I think it was one of the fewest times I fought in the morning ahah I was a school boy at that time and I was always good at school so I didnt study too much. But back at 2010, the night I had some beers with WL and TCL leaders simultaneously I was already at high school. But I was staff of the portuguese community back then and it was a place where all rivalries were set aside and the community was the reason of irl meetings happening and we got that meeting where also Telmomarques (#1 world overall, first to 120 dungeon) was there too
  16. TCL had a huge impact from late 2008 to 2012 but WL was around for much time and always at the top with high performances and this makes it a really difficult question. He puts alot of his time into this project and thats why it is successful. Paying attention to all members, to every detail, trying to know each member and how to get the best out of that member. If actual WL has a remarkable quality, thats D96 effort I'm really glad they existed because they worked as smaller communities that up to this day every member can recall and staff members could improve their staff experiences. There was this small portuguese clan called Tugas Revolution that lasted for like the same time as TCL and people still talk about it nowadays and Luis417 (wl official atm) was leader and developed huge experience at that time. Couldn't pick any other clan, my home community was the SoG-TCL related ones, even at Retaliation/Exotic there was that community base present
  17. Hello every1, my name is Frankventura and most of you know me from recent wars or back from Divine Forces. I started my clanning experience back in 2005 and most of my clanning was with country clans. My first clan was a small Portuguese clan called Thunder Knights. Then I joined Massive Demolution (portuguese/brazillian) in 2005-06 where I was a council and then leader for the last months. Start of 2007 I was at one of the most iconic country clans ever, Swords of Glory, only for 6 months. Late 2007, former members of SoG decided to open The Call of Legends. This might have been the most important clan experience in my career. Was a starting member of TCL and wasn't a member for like 6 months in early 2008. Then I came back from a quitting RS, rejoined then recruited 20 Portuguese people. Since then, the rivalry with WL was real as our numbers grew strong and members learnt how to perform. In 2009 I became TCL Warlord and the funniest part of it was the 1st Jagex Cup, trying to find out that random clan with weird timezones to schedule a war at inconvenient time. But we were drafted RoT at early rounds and that was it. At that time I stepped my staff roles because of my other 2 Portuguese RS projects, Team Portugal (I was leader for a year and half) and Portuguese community (admin for 4 years and official jagex gold fansite). But i kept fighting for TCL until EoC and I can recall so many stories of how we were the best country clan at that time. Like following Jagex Cup we had 85 people against 100 Hell Armys and we won with like 50 people left, or the uncapped against WL that lasted for 12 hours with endless WL regroups by the fishing spot. We fought almost every clan there was, often with 300 opts, despite being a war we knew we wouldnt stand a chance, we would fight it anyways. OSRS became a reality and I decided to train my stats just to be able to comeback to clanning like old times. At 2013 I joined my first osrs country clan called Retaliation. But people wouldn't care to train their osrs accounts so that clan stuck with rs3 legacy fights. In 2014 Exotic took its place, this time at osrs clw and wild and I was a part of it until the end back in 2016. Then I realized I couldn't let my career go without an international clan and I decided to join Divine Forces, still in 2016, until the end of 2017. DF was a clan where I perfected my warring to all levels. Was clanless for 3 years, dedicated to the portuguese community (until nowadays). In June 2020 i decided to put aside a old rivalry and join WL, until last January. Clanning was my rs history and im still available to learn from it. Even met some people irl and had some beers. In 2010 I had a meeting at Aveiro and I was drinking with Goodwar15 (TCL leader at that time) and Shadow Mix (WL leader at that time). We had a TCL vs WL the following day, Goodwar attended but Shadow Mix didn't just to drink beers for another day! ❤️
