Twitch or Kick ?

Lately, alot of runescape streamers(Probly other section too) have been moving to Kick for one major reason most likely the $$$$ They offer 95% to the streamer and 5% to the application(Kick) off every sub. While twitch I BELIVE is 50/50(Or about to be). I don't know all the perks of Kick vs Twitch other than there is basicly no filter.. What are your toughts on it ?

Gonna go ahead and say no, I think it will die after a bit. Also a matter of time before they up the sub split.

I did watch a bit, I prefer Twitch.. Maybe it's because I been using twitch for years and not kick and I need to addapt.

Only way Kick stays in service is if Stake (leading company funding/owning Kick) keeps it afloat. If Stake sees constant profits and revenue the site will stay up.

 

Twitch isn't going anywhere. Even if they've done some really bad changes recently. Amazon owns Twitch so it'll still be the #1 live streaming site regardless of what happens with Kick.

My answer is probably but I suspect they will probably take 10% in the near future if the platform grows big enough

There's no way Kick is profitable, nor will it be with only taking 5%. They allow far more explicit content than Twitch or Youtube does which means less advertisers lining up to market on their platform. I assume the plan is to get people on the platform first and then find a better way to monetize, or sell it off to a bigger company. All that said, I haven't watched any streams in years so couldn't really care less how any of the platforms go tbh

Kick will probs survive because theres so much money behind it unless twitch sues them.

 

But Kick has alot of work to do to become like real challenger for twitch, right now its just escape place for Casino rats who stream on shitty sites not allowed on twitch or thots advertising Onlyfans.

Basically straight copy of twitch (stolen source code) ran by Stake. Offering like 90% of sub revenue to streamers etc, with no strict rules like twitch

Streaming website. People streaming like Runescape or whatever else. Both are the same and very similar

If Kick keeps up their TOS policy and funding atm. Being reckless and enabling people like Adin Ross, they are one major fuck up away from getting sued for something. 

 

If they would really care and want to build a platform to survive, they need to clean their house.
