  1. Heya! I knew a couple Yodas back then! What numbers were behind your name? Just want to make sure I know which one you are haha ?
  2. Heya! I am usually not into fps games. My husband had to really drag my ass into playing Overwatch because I was pretty stubborn about it to start with. A regular fps just isn't interesting to me but I enjoy OW since they have some fun and interesting mechanics in the game (and I love the fun art style). They're coming out with an expansion "soon" so I don't foresee wanting to jump into another fps just yet, especially since I kinda want to try my hand in competitive in OW someday. But if things get stale, I'll have a looksie! ?
  3. Meat lovers or Hawaiian. And I guess I can never share a pizza with several of you because I can't handle spiciness unfortunately. :[
  4. Thank you! And I'm afraid not! We are on the Goblin server! ?
  5. Yeah, sorry that I couldn't be super specific. I don't know what the hell I'm doing or where to begin, so I apologize for being so vague. You helped loads just by saying that I should focus on different groups each day. I didn't know that was a real thing. I thought the whole "Don't skip leg day!" stuff was just memes or w/e. *facepalm* That's how bad I am. I just want to improve muscle tone all over my body so that I am able to do more heavy lifting (like I feel terrible when my husband has to get a friend to help him with heavy duty things since I'm too weak), do outdoor activities, and be more effective with weight loss. (I've heard that increasing muscle mass helps burn fat?). Will definitely check out those videos! Thanks so much. ? Hopefully there's vids there for doing squats. I remember trying to do them a long time ago and it scared the hell out of me because I felt like I would mess up and hurt my back. =X Gym equipment's still expensive, at least by my standards. I dropped a little over $1k for our treadmill a couple months ago, and it doesn't have THE fanciest stuff on it. We got more bang for our buck by getting a simpler treadmill and buying a 32" TV to mount in front of it rather than buying one with a built-in screen. Pretty stoked about our little home gym that we put together. Now I just gotta use it! Lol. I pushed for the treadmill because we live in an area that has several months of snow/ice, and there's no way in hell I'm running in that with how clumsy I am. I will easily hit a patch of black ice and fall face flat and break every bone in my body. Hell no to that. Plus treadmill running is easier on the knees vs running in the street; we made sure to get one that has great shock absorption for that reason. We also installed a very nice quality pullup bar over the door. When we were installing it, I held up each piece which were like 40 lbs each, not even kidding, and my poor weak arms were sore for days because my husband was struggling to get it secured lol. Our stud finder was being a dumbass and long story short, there's lots of holes hidden behind the frame lmao. Only my husband uses it; I can't lift my fat ass up on that. So if anyone has tips on making use of a pull up bar when you're totally weaksauce, I'm all ears.
  6. Looking to lose weight and build up strength. Currently doing Couch to 5k on my treadmill for the cardio side of things. What weight of dumbbells do you guys recommend for a beginner? 5 lbs feel kinda light to me but maybe I need to do those for a certain amount of time before upgrading? Could also use kettlebell. Also does anyone have an app or something they can recommend that can go over the actual movements, how many reps to do, etc. =X
  7. Yay! You made an intro! Thanks again for being my bodyguard yesterday during prayer training! ❤️
  8. Thanks for having my back, Mar! I know now to utilize the buddy system when dealing with True: never go alone! Can never be too careful!
  9. Look at this noob True with this outdated pic of me. I got 67 prayer now and go around sporting some fabulous adamantite armor these days. (Yes I did cave and make an account. When you have literally everyone telling you to try it out, it gets difficult to say no. x.x) Another familiar name! Hey man. How are things going with you? ?
  10. Didn't have SNES ? As a kiddo, I was at the mercy of my parents regarding which consoles I had haha
  11. I'd say I started being a gamer at the wee age of 6, so there are many notable games in my life that stood out to me. Haha. Super Mario Bros 3 (NES) - 1st video game I ever played. Still have the console & game and still hook it up sometimes for the heck of it. ..And still fall off the platforms in the sky levels sometimes /facepalm Super Mario 64 (N64) - I remember seeing this game & N64 being advertised and got so excited about games going 3D. Definitely memorable. Mario Kart 64 (N64) - The first game that I felt like I completely beat. I knew every curve, every map, normally and in Mirror Mode. Probably put the most hours into this game than any of these other super old ones. Mario Party (N64) - Another game I played tons of which brings back fond memories, mostly because I had 2 sisters, and this was a really enjoyable co-op game Tetris (Game Boy) - My go to when I was on a field trip in elementary school. Remember those light attachments that you needed to see Game Boy games when it was dark? Haha. Pokemon (Game Boy, Game Boy Color) - My intro into the Pokemon World (not sure why I didn't start sooner!) Started at Silver/Gold, got Crystal and fell in love with playing games in color on a handheld device. Console gaming started being dialed back a little once I had access to the internet. RS came into the picture in my high school days, and it was my main squeeze then, so that's the main one that stands out in that time period. Then WoW afterwards.
  12. I remember that name! Yeah, I ended up leaving because I was burned out from doing hours and hours of PKRIs. Was nothing wrong with EH itself; they were like family. ?
  13. Glad to hear you're in uni now! And I totally know what you mean about the nostalgia trip. It's been a blast reconnecting with everyone and thinking back on those crazy times back then.
  14. Every 5 minutes or so isn't too bad. I do that with my current grindy phone games. I might consider it, but idk yet. Time's already stretched thin with all the games my husband wants us to play lol. OSRS has a subscription fee iirc, so I'd have to make it worth my time.
  15. I play all of the Support heroes pretty much, not a big fan of Lucio since I can't really wall ride very well lmao. But there's a few circumstances where I'll swap to him. When I feel like getting more aggressive, I will swap to Tank. I play most tanks, but my Tank main is DVa. She's my girlllll. Gotta land those sick bombs, and honestly, I love her because I find great joy in harrassing the shit out of Widowmakers. Widowmakers have haunted me for so long, and when I discovered that DVa is an excellent counter to contest the high ground, that's like. I get great joy out of landing good bombs, which is harder to do than it looks. I used to be "meh" about DVas posting their bomb POTGs on Reddit, but after playing her.. it really isn't that easy since people can just hide, Rein can shield, Bap can Im field, etc. Gotta catch them offguard to pull them off. Here's a vid of my first (and sadly I think only) quintuple kill! ?
  16. I really like it a lot. My husband & I migrated to WoW a few months after meeting on RS, and we played that for a few years until I made the decision to return to school. Up until that point, we co-led a guild and did a lot of raiding. During a summer break from school, we tried out FFXIV and absolutely loved it. It took elements of both RS (being able to be a 'skiller' and level up lots of crafting stuff on your one character) and WoW (raiding, dungeons, huge variety of classes) and combined them together in just a beautiful game. Their fights are insane, challenging, and so much fun. At first I got the impression that FFXIV would be easier than WoW (not sure if you played it, so this comparison may go over your head) because the GCD is much slower, but once you level up, the fights pick up the pace and there are many ways it challenges you. We haven't decided yet if we want to commit to raiding again, but we've been just messing around on different classes and leveling up for now. You guys are making it harder for me to say no haha. I've been in contact with many friends from RS over the years, and one in particular has been poking me a lot to start again and reassuring me that it's much easier, but ahhh.. it's a struggle for me. Mostly because my husband isn't game to go back, and we really like to tackle the big games together. I was tempted to take over his account since the lucky sob didn't get hacked like I did (yes yes I know account sharing's bad, shame on me for having those thoughts lol >.>) but decided I'd rather start from scratch if I do it. Idk. I might poke at it again a little and see. My understanding is that OSRS can be played on mobile, and even though it's the old version, they do still do updates to the game. My biggest drawback is the graphics just kill me now that there are other games that are just so much more visually appealing to me. What can I say, I love the art of these new games lol. I discovered some msn logs when cleaning out my computer a few months ago and found out that I guess you messaged me several times in 2012, and we had some chats about WoW and how you did really well at PvP. ? Then we talked about IRL and I bitched about how I hated my job, and you told me to go back to school, which I eventually did and have a much better one now. How are you these days? That's awesome! We've met people over the years who make their living off of art. That always intimidated the hell out of me.. I had thought about pursuing an art major, but couldn't push myself to do it. So I figured I'd stick with my other strength that is medical science and just do art as a side gig. I need to start doing some sketches of my current gaming characters so that I can get back into the groove. I'm so rusty lol. I love me some Overwatch. When I played RS & WoW, I wasn't that drawn to PvP, and I never thought I'd be caught dead in a fps game, but Overwatch is way different from other fps games and is just more interesting and fun to me. Depending on the mood, I heal or tank. I usually like to support my team as a healer, but if I'm feeling aggressive af, I play tank since sometimes I just want to smash some faces in myself hahaha. Heck yeah! Only recently resubbed after I graduated school, so we're working on getting geared up. Some friends that played have been helping my husband and I hit up the early raids in the expansion and getting us some gear. Those fights are SO hard to just walk in to and try to understand what's going on on your very first fight omg. We just yoloed them all and didn't read strats since our friends who do high tier raiding were carrying us. They purposefully didn't warn me about mechanics because they thought it'd be hilarious to see me run around like a chicken with their head cut off lmao. There was this one 24 man raid where I felt like a floor decoration rather than a healer because I was dying so much to mechanics that have no mercy on you if you don't know wtf is going on lmao. My friends would be like "DONT WORRY KRYSTAL I'LL REZ YOU" and I would die instantly again oh my god. So much fun though. We might consider fully getting into the raid scene again, maybe just casually like a night a week or something, haven't decided yet. I've always been a healer main, no matter what game I play. So my goal is to play all the healers, but currently maining WHM. AST looks super interesting to me, but I figure I'd start with WHM since it's more straightforward to learn. My style shifted a couple times throughout RS. I remember I started my pixel sig making because I just liked to draw and thought it'd be a fun thing to do. My first sigs are hilariously bad but evolved over time. I have a RS deviantart that has a history of my early sigs. Just go to deviantart.com/pequ I unfortunately stopped updating my deviantart at some point because I started putting out sigs faster and faster and was too lazy to upload them.. definitely regret that since I lost my sigs when I moved states ugh. I still have a few on my harddrive, but only a few. Le sigh. I tried doing pixel sigs when I migrated to WoW, but people weren't that active on forums that utilized sigs like they were in RS. I was super bummed about that. ? Isn't it insane that I first met you when we were in high school? 16 years went by fast holy crap. So glad to see you around! Ahhh you're making me blush lol. Brian reactivated my DI account, and I was browsing some of my old posts last night on their forums, and I cringed a little since I got a little TOO perky at times. LOL. I think it's because I had a really dark childhood, and I turned to the internet to brighten up my life.. so I did my best to be positive. So I'm glad that I left a pretty good impression! And I definitely will consider poking around here for clients if I happen to find myself doing art again for folks. ? Overall, thanks everyone for the warm welcome! So awesome to see so many familiar names! Does OSRS have like.. afkable stuff for leveling? I know there's a mobile version, so that's why I ask. I'd have a much better chance at returning if I could afk leveling on my phone a little bit. =X
  17. I must not have been *too* much before your time, because your name is quite familiar! Unless there was another Wee Man that I'm thinking of haha.
  18. I have interest in several different forms of art, so who knows what I end up doing. My goal has been to do pet portraits since I feel like I do better drawing animals than I do with people haha. I've made a few using soft pastels and they turned out pretty nicely. My husband keeps throwing an idea of an etsy shop at me where our focus is to make art for people's video game characters; (we actually met through RSC, so he's well aware of my pixel sig past haha) he wants us to get a 3D printer and make figurines, but I'm more comfortable with just plain ole 2D stuff, so who knows what the future holds. Lol.
  19. Runescape Name Pequ (when I played) Preferred Name Krystal Discord ID Current Clan N/A Previous Clan History Gladz, EH, SE Who do you know in Tempest? True. Probably others too lol Are you interested in joining? Not currently playing RS; just wanted to poke around on RS forums to possibly reconnect with folks. ? Brief Introduction Hey everyone. Decided to make a thread since True claims there may be some folks here who would remember me, and I’m always up for reconnecting with old acquaintances. We shall see if he was telling me the truth. ? I was known in RS as Pequ. I joined Gladz in 2003, became Council at some point which is where I started to get to know folks in the clan world, through arranging events/fights/etc. I would also sometimes find myself singing at DF Karaoke nights with Veseble, fun times (though I do apologize for anyone who had to put up with my singing haha). Eventually I left Gladz for EH and stayed with them until I decided that I just didn’t like long PKRIs, so I ended up leaving them and started being more focused on skilling, joined clans that didn’t really war, etc. That didn’t last too long as I realized that honestly the craziness of the clan world with the wars and PKRIs was the highlight of my time in RS even though there was so much drama lol. I got to see a lot of it since I was a moderator within the Clan Discussion forum on RSC. So yeah, there’s a few ways folks might know me. I was also known for making pixel sigs. I haven’t made those in forever, but I just graduated college (finally) and have more free time now, so I hope to get back into art again for fun. I tried to play RS again, but I just can’t motivate myself to level up again from scratch. The main multiplayer games I’m most actively playing atm are FFXIV & Overwatch. Anywho. I hope to see some familiar faces and get caught up with how the heck everyone has been. Feel free to add me on Discord and have a chat with me. If I don't immediately remember you, please forgive my garbage memory; to be fair, it's been over a decade since I was active in the clan world lol.
  20. Ohi there. True linked me to this topic after I got mentioned. I remember that crazy fight, and I think I remember making fun of you, but I'm having a hard time visualizing the sig I made! I lost so many of my sigs years ago, sadly. But anywho. /wave So fun to see old, familiar names! ?
