I feel very few to no people here will have not experienced one or both of these in their childhood, so which one do you prefer? For me it's definitely pokemon, the first real video game I played and all my friends played it as a kid, plus collecting the cards and trading them and all that was sick. The show was great too, overall just really solid. CursedSatan 61 Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 Pokemon always, never really knew how to Play Yu-Gi-Oh even though I owned a few decks when I was a kid lol. I always loved playing main series Pokemon game made by Game Freak as a child. Probably an unpopular opinion but the Orre region (Pokemon Colosseum and XD) was the greatest pokemon game in the Game Cube console so far for me. Encore 194 Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 Yugioh was popular during grade 7/8 for me while Pokemon during grade 4/5/6. So I got to experience both. However, If I had to choose then Pokemon because of the games available on Gameboy Colour and Pocket. Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold and Crystal. These games are GOAT. Pope 1 Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 Are we just voting on the overall franchise or? I don't think Yugioh really compares to Pokemon as a franchise/universe etc. Not even close. But I definitely liked Yugioh cards more than Pokemon. Granted I only ever really collected Pokemon cards when I was like 7-9, so my brain never understood how to actually "play" with them.
