≈Vanuckle 2,136 Posted May 23, 2021 Share Posted May 23, 2021 Tempest Sunday Funday Ancient Fury asked us for a fight for today and knowing that ROT have given up on their pure campaign, we figured we might have some fun on the weekend with a few of our pals in Gielinor. We massed up 70 and headed into the wild to fight AF. On pretty much even numbers, the fight went back and forth. Both clans had really impressive spam + the impressive mix of styles led to easy KOs for both. After 30 minutes of clean 1 v 1 action, ROT massed up all the numbers they could and logged in with 60 ingame. This was their fight to show us they were serious about still being a top contender after we humiliated them 1 v 1 on video last week (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZZfsrEAboA). It was never going to be enough. The funniest part was seeing them try to spam for the first 3-4 minutes of the crash. Not once did "ROT name" even come close to getting off the screen, and it was no surprise they gave up only a few minutes after logging in. We continued the pressure and ROT could hardly stay in game. It truly was a feast for our members - hardly anyone died and many Tempest had over 40 confirmed ROT kills. In fact, the hardest part was finding a ROT member alive long enough to actually get a pile on! There were a handful of old names we hadn't seen in a long time at the fight today. We know after that display, it'll be even longer before we see those names again! 🤣 After two hours of barbequing ROT in the late spring sun, we noticed the same trend (as it always is from ROT). After all that prep, after showing up in rune with attempted spam towers and a real pile... It took them less than 2 hrs to break. No skulls. No piles.
