What would you consider to be some of the negative aspects of having this tecnology? Have you gotten in trouble at work/school for using AI? The technology is still too new, the industry is cracking down on their free data training sets, and regulation is on the way. It is problematic that people think it is “always” correct and are basically just following tiktok tutorials in text form. Sure you can use it to draft cover letters and such but it’s a long ways off from replacing massive amounts of jobs. The most popular AI project in our generation has been Tesla AutoPilot and that has been under development for how many years with how much limitless money and they still have very little to show for it. Ace 632 Posted August 1, 2023 Share Posted August 1, 2023 Use it a bit for work since it's really good at quickly researching specific scenarios compared to just straight up googling them. I still have to double check everything it digs up because it does have the propensity to sometimes outright lie or create misinformation but I usually still save some time in the long run. My jobs not really in danger though because the research is only a smart portion of it. I do think a lot of white collar jobs are going to get downsized heavily. The tech isn't perfect but it doesn't need to be when the outputs are quick enough especially when it gets a bit of fine tuning for specific fields. What's really crazy though is the people that use it for everything and how much data they're inputting into it. There's huge leak potential right there. Business probably, let computer do everything. What would you consider to be some of the negative aspects of having this technology? Unemployment rate will def increase, would probably cause people to riot and chaos. Have you gotten in trouble at work/school for using AI? Only have a work laptop and desktop, so no. AI could definitely drive a truck but to deliver the birds into the barns you would need a cyborg lol.
