It provided a good communal outlet from members of different clans and groups to blend together and hash out discussions, game related or otherwise. It made the community on the whole more intimate and tight knit even when it was much larger than it is today. Towards the last few years of its lifecycle, however, it took a nose dive and standards weren’t held up, moderation became a mess and some ranks simply didn’t give a shit. Realistically it probably needed to end around the 2016 mark. Nowadays everything is very fractured and people focus on the identity and brand of their own clans, which I feel like creates more hostility because you’re now an “other,” and not part of a larger more personal community. As long as this stubborn mentality continues to exist you’re going to see more of this behavior as time goes on. But when they started allowing clans in full adamant to post win topics over clans they crashed, it was pretty much all over.
