Who groomed la hire44

I am not sure who got La Hire into 'THE', but he sure spent a lot of time under me. I'll take credit for making him a great asset to 'THE' even though he did get a bit out of control. ?

Thank you all for being willing to participate in this topic.

In the 2005-2006 period, I was a Rider of Rohan in Gladz.  At the time, I really valued the relationship that the alliance had.  I can relate to what Germs had mentioned about the ability to attend each clan's trips because I really enjoyed joining BK for their PK trips (my brother was in BK) and occasionally joined "The" on PK trips.  I can remember the Gladz opinion on a few alliance-related issues, but wanted to see if you all had any insights on the following:

1.) The Devilz was a Gladz ally, but had a poor relationship with several of the other alliance clans.  It was often a source of contention between the clans.  Things got confusing when I would join TD on their pk trips, and they'd end up hitting an alliance clan.  I logged out in this situation and would not participate, but I do remember a few Gladz that got reprimanded for fighting alongside The Devilz against alliance clans.  Do you remember if there were any leadership discussions in "The" about how to handle The Devilz~Gladz alliance situation?

2.) Initially, there was resistance to incorporating TMRD into the alliance and it was in negotiations for several months before they were formally admitted to the alliance (I think BK didn't like the idea, but forget the opinion from "The").  Do you remember the stance that "The" had on TMRD at the time?

3,) In hindsight, I believe that the alliance could have collectively hurt Gladz, BK, TMRD, and "The."  These four clans had a unique perspective and ambition in the clan world, valuing large scale, infrequent wars over frequent PKRIs.  Because these four clans were so similar in their approach, there was an opportunity for rivalry and competition to promote a different style of PvP play than the direction the clan world went.  Do you think if the alliance didn't exist, it would have caused the four aforementioned clans to be more competitive with each other, promote more competition and interest in warring throughout the clan world, and (perhaps) thrive as long-term forces in PvP?

Lastly, respect to Germs22.  I remember him as an extremely positive force in the alliance and I do think he helped to promote a friendly atmosphere between Gladz and "The."

Hello! I don't think I can really answer your questions since TA was kind of non existent while I was in 'THE'. The alliance was still there but it also wasn't there. I do think if the clans were in an allegiance that they could have grown and been more competivie amongst each other. I feel like the TA alliance overshadowed TMRD/Gladz/Jagz since 'THE' was the more known name in the PK Clan world which in a way maybe killed TMRD/Gladz/Jagz.

In your opinions, who was the absolute most savage, dominant, and ridiculously good looking PVEer in the entire game?

Hey guys ?

Me? :classic_love:?  I don't really remember many people's actual faces at the time. Savage/Dominant - You.

I remember getting screamed at by my mom to get off the computer whenever we had those long ass fights. Definitely wasn't fun lol, but did it for THE

I joined EH to get into the PKRI scene since it looked exciting and then ended up leaving them because it turns out doing 12 hour PKRIs all the time and constantly putting your money to sets.. wasn't that fun! ?

My condolences. It sounds like you were really close with them. ?

I was in 'The' mostly during 2011 and 2012, then I was Divine Forces from 2012-2014. Before that I was hanging around W141 so I'm not sure I would have crossed paths with you.

Yeah. ? Was definitely soul crushing news.

Also, oops! Your photo reminded me of someone I used to know I guess! haha ?

That seems to be a tradition with a lot of us emotional men from 'the' clan LOL

Yes. Yes, indeed. @Gslax24 is another one! LOL

Is there any clans you wish you were apart of that you never got the chance to be?

Least favorite clans you'd encountered in your time as part of the community and why?

Any entertaining stories for members being kicked?

Not really. After building my relationship with DI, I was curious.

DS. They just wiped everything when they were out and it got old.

Hypno Monkey got kicked and he decided to get pay back by hacking the forums and messing it all up. The funny part was that he left TF alone and left my name as-is on the front page since he hated everyone else but me.

Most overrated clan  in your opinion?

Best officials in other clans in your opinion? Worst?

How do you feel about the current clanning scene on RS based on what you know?

DS

Kakashi RX/Fuddy were probably the best from what I can remember. Corr officials sucked.

I have zero clue so not sure. I know RS has gone through numerous changes since I last played 12 years ago.

Back on topic... maybe ?

What are your favorite fights from THE's history?

Favorite fights/events from The Alliance?

Favorite and least favorite clans of all time, outside of THE and TA of course ?

No clue, but it was always great when we won to hear "Sexy Back" play over TS. It officially became our unofficial march home to Edgeville music...

THE was definitely a clan of prestigious and rich background. What do you think was the main reason THE declined in it's later years? And would it have been something that can be prevented?

@Moombatamer5 when will you be joining TT Discord?

It really was and I wish I remembered how I even got into 'THE'! LOL! I know I mentioned it a few times over various questions, but it was a mix between poor Main and PK Leadership, the overall lack of morale 'THE' ended up with, and a few bad eggs who gained rank and really did some damage to 'THE'. I do not think any of it could have been prevented. People seemed good and then turned for the worse. Also, a lot of strong leadership left and they left holes that could never be filled.

Invite me! MoombaJess#2055

I'm not sure if you but Gladz are still alive and well over RS3 with a pretty big community.

Apart from I believe TMRD/Jagz hanging around with smaller communities of their own, what do you think about Gladz has allowed them to stay active and poppin through 2020?

Gladz is poppin through? Good for them! I feel like when I joined 'THE' the whole The Alliance and other clans were in a decline. Only clan I really got to know was TMRD.

Nice to see you guys! I tried giving TF a shot after Phobia closed but you guys weren't into pking that much and the majority of TF was very hesitant about the ex Phobia (rightfully so). I did meet a few members who were extremely chill (Bobman/Micro/Saxo).

I was just wondering if you guys kept in touch with Lethal Axe?

Hello!! ?! Your name sounds VERY familiar! Lethal Axe retired while I was in 'THE'/TF so not sure. @Germs22, have you heard from Lethal?

Apart from myself, who was your favorite/most memorable member?

?...

So many people, but the one I kept in contact the most this whole time of not being on RS was Microhacker. When 'THE' forums came to end I was really sad cause that was our main way of keeping in touch. He then magically appeared in 'THE's discord and we've been back to chatting again! Gretzky was also another memorable member since he was appalled that I did not know who Gretzky was IRL. SORRY! Hockey is not a big deal in Florida (even though they have two teams LOL). ??

Germs 100% came into TS randomly and started singing. No lie. It blew my mind

WHAT. I never heard him speak EVER. @Germs22I think you need to have a sing session on Discord now. No mic excuses!

What were your thoughts on the formation of The Rising?

Good for them! La Hire kinda jogged that memory for me and I do not blame those 'THE' members who formed and joined this clan. They wanted a strong PK clan and I do believe they did successfully had that for awhile.

Oh my gosh! It's so wonderful to see you guys here!!  Back when I was dating Fbk, I considered "The" to be a 2nd family to me.  I think at one point, I was actually close to joining "The" even lol.  Orange Ownage! ❤️

I am terrible at constructing interesting questions, but I will make an attempt:

For the majority of my time in Gladz [03-07],  I think the common opinion was that Gladz was seen as the "powerhouse" of The Alliance.  Gladz was known for pulling the big numbers to official wars and bringing home the wins; glory to The Alliance!  However, "The" had quite the system going on having a whole separate clan, TF, designed to produce loyal members to join their warforce as well.  Did this prove to be effective in developing a stronger clan over the course of time? Or did you find that many people who were in TF went on to join other clans instead after they could have joined "The"?  Additionally, did "The" ever reach a point where you felt like it overtook Gladz as being powerhouse of The Alliance? I ask this for my own genuine curiosity because in my last year of Gladz, there were many opinions that Gladz was dwindling in power and becoming more casual, less of a force to be reckoned with.   If this was the case, did "The" ever get their time to shine and be the face of The Alliance?

Hello! I knew your name sounded familiar! ? I saw Germs' answer and all I have to say is.. You're welcome!!! Over time, sadly TF members wanted to stay in TF and were reaching the highest level they could be without officially graduating. I had to motivate them to move along to the main clan and over time a lot of them were disappointed with 'THE' and they moved onto other clans. ? When I was in 'THE' I never saw much of the other three clans so I do feel like 'THE' took over as being the powerhouse. 'THE' was definitely the face for TA while I was there.

what were your favorite parts of being apart of leadership?

I always liked contributing to something bigger than myself and being part of the family. It was exhilirating to run in Wilderness with max opts dot and just fighting.

I was in TMRD back during The Alliance era around 2005/6. What were some of your favorite events including all of The Alliance.

Personally I enjoyed the steel wars. Meeting up prior in varrock castle with hundreds and hundreds of people in game just bullshitting. Fun times.

I also have to say it'd be steel wars. Something that silly was great

8 hours ago, Eric`` said:

@Germs22 & @Valaraz you guys were some of the most respected people from all "sides" of the clan, why were you guys so unwillingy to pull the trigger on becoming a pvp oriented clan? I feel like 95% of the clan wanted this in both 2006 and later 2009, but instead you guyss catered to the minority and tried a please all approach.

@Moombatamer5 I feel like 'THE' could have learned a lot from TF. Why do you think TF's mentality and success never passed on to the main clan?

At the time I didn't feel that was the right call even though it was discussed. More and more towards the end of my RS career all I wanted to do was PvP but at the time the legacy of 'The' was something I didn't want to completely change.

What are your thoughts on these clans:

Gladz -
Jagz -
TMRD -
Blacknights -
The Sabres -

Gladz at the time were the most active of all of the above and I liked their community. There were a few people there I actually became quite good friends with.

Jagz were a bit on the down low but at times could pull the opts. Same with TMRD who was actually the first clan I learned of back in the day.

BK. I loved firing them up with random shitposting for wars. I still have that one pic I made that really got to them.

The Sabres, I believe, were inactive for most of my time in RS. There were some members present on forums but I don't think I was there for the best years of rivalry.

8 hours ago, Venenatis said:

What made you pick the clan name "The?"

We didn't, it was already there.

8 hours ago, true said:

What's your favorite thing about RS clans? Least favorite?

If you had to join another clan from The Alliance, who would it have been?

Thoughts on The Rising?

Wars and comradery. Least favourite part is the drama which probably came from so many kids/teenagers being in the clan world.

Gladz, I think.

TR: no real thoughts if I'm honest. Didn't like them when they set up and when I was there for the intro but it never felt like home. It was lacking that something 'The' had.
