Clan world will never get bigger than it is right now, which isn't anything compared to what it was. Clan system is for skilling/pvm. Nothing that benefits PvP in it as of right now. Would obviously help if there were more clans but there's definitely some activity in the clan scene with 300-500 people participating in the pure pking weekends (both f2p and p2p) that we don't see. Jagex and the game of runescape has harbored an environment in witch you join a clan or you lose to a clan. Any real pvp seems to me as just a game of numbers. Only if you're an iron man can you really enjoy the game by yourself and even then. When is the last time you saw a clan do an ftp pk trip? Massing up people just to go traverse the wild looking for noobs? People do go into the wild unless they have numbers, even in p2p. 1v1's aren't ever just that. If someone is losing they call their clan or friends. The clan world thriving I fear is a symptom of a broken system/content. That being said, becuase I'm in the number one ranked clan I enjoy seeing the clan world thrive. I would would enjoy nothing more than a nice healthy hearty clan community.
