I disagree - I think initially the scene benefitted with publicity, but rapidly it turned to the second biggest reason (imo) after jagex at killing the clan world.  It was decent when it was used for war declarations etc.
 

Last clan standing - led to fights dragging for 12+ hours. ALL clans dragged at some point, and initially that mentality was fuelled by zybez posting. That mentality stuck after clans quit zybez

 

3rd party posting - clans quit zybez so zybez decided to allow 3rd party posting. It was nothing but trolling - I could post a 5 month old screenshot and say it was from last night (gratz Welsh farmers on defeating VR). 

Biased - Zybez never is, was, or can be, impartial. No matter how hard you try to make it impartial it’s always going to be biased, or perceived as biased, as long as those running it are involved in the clan world. 
 

without knowing much about the clan world today, it looks healthier than it was in 2011 where clans seem content with their own thing. Sure the ddosing/doxing is probably worse today but that’s have happened with or without zybez

My favourite movie is Oldboy, the original Korean version. Absolutely incredible. If we're only talking about English speaking films then Goodfellas or Casino would be my favourite.

Last clan standing was perpetuated by the clans, not RSC they just fit the rules around what clans were currently doing albeit sometimes not as fast as people would have liked.

I understood the reasoning behind 3PP, mostly because clans were being crybabies and couldn't handle losing topic rights when they lost/didn't have enough evidence of a win so they tried to boycott the site. Obviously I agree it never worked as intended which is why we moved away from that eventually.

Perceived as biased sure, that was always an issue that clans had with us. However I can truly say that during the decision making process it all came down to the facts of that particular post or topic. I've watched them make decisions on my posts and topics before and even as a moderator they've ruled against me. The staff we had over the years during my time there were the most impartial, level headed group of people I've ever had the pleasure of working with (occasionally there was a few idiots who were removed obviously) and the whole perceived biasedness was in people's heads.

You couldn't be more wrong. 2011 was 10x what we have today in my opinion.

You said you never ddosed anyone. Does seeking and getting admin access to other clans forums not mean you had a hand to play in those activities?

 

How do you feel now about participating in out of game activities (in the past) that are often viewed as scummy and a big no-no for a lot of people?

Never DDoS'd anyone, never gave people IPs or anything. So no I don't think I had a hand to play in it. At worst you could say I was aware of it happening and turned a blind eye to it. Mostly I just didn't get involved with the whole IP leaking/DDoSing stuff.

I'd still do it now if people weren't more vigilant about forum security and if I could still crack IPB 4 passwords which currently takes way too long and isn't worth doing. I always saw it as pretty harmless for the most part. It's not like I was publicly selling/giving away people's information or anything.
