Depends on how fast you read and which versions of the movies. The books will take less time to read than watching the extended versions of the movie. OT: Books are great. I'm a huge fan of the movies, but there is some stuff missing from the books that I would have liked to see in the movies (mostly Tom Bombadil). Glad most of the singing didn't make it in though.

That would be fair if DC Police were responsible for the Capitol. But they have their own police force of over 2,000 officers. Edit: It took 3 HOURS for the National Guard to arrive. Pretty strange.
